Not bad at all. Good choice on the operating system. Trash the keyboard and mouse and replace them with Logitech and you'll have a great system :D

If you're planning on gaming, don't bother getting a wireless keyboard/mouse unless you really need it. Wireless can cause problems sometimes, and wired would have a better response time.

^ plus wireless stuff eats batteries like a pig.

Go wired! Way better options and performance.

It appears to have good specs.

(I am a Mac guy so I am against PC's in just about every way) ;)

But it seems to be great.

It is "slightly" better then my MacBook (laptop).

I would rather get just about the same power as that PC desktop in a Apple laptop. ;) :)

This is true. Although I must say after some evaluation, some of the latest Logitech wireless models have a very good response, and some kickass battery saving options.

Just about everything on my MacBook can be wireless or not.

I get 4.5 HOURS of wireless productivity on one full charged battery.

I find wireless to be a great way to spend your spend your money.

that's the real business, you also bought the Logitech gear :D I have a G11 keyboard and Razer Copperhead because I'm an ex-counterstriker. I regret that I bought those, together 110 euros, alot if you're 15 years old xD. It's fun but unnecessary.

Thanks guys.

After 4.5 years, I felt I owed it to myself.

Even though I am a computer tech and managed to get a full life out of my old system and keep it going stable for many years, its time to upgrade.

However, I WILL be donating it to a local family with no PC - the father is dead, mother only has medical pension to bring up the two kids, and I know they'll appreciate it.
