I know that Death By Degrees is kinda old but after watching some videos on youtube about it...I want it really bad! Nina looks amazing in this game and has some pretty sweet moves. But the thing is..ive heard from people that the controls suck (like having to attack with the analog stick) but i become accustomed to them faster than most people. So the question I have for you all that have played it is....should i get it???

I own the game myself and i enjoyed it because Nina is my favorite Tekken Character. I didnt think it was the best game nor was it worst but here are the facts and you can make your assesment of whether you want to buy it or not. However the best way to determine this is renting it.

Anywhoo on topic The game has ok graphics, The controls are reminiscent of The classic Resident Evil controls and camera system except there is hand to hand combat thrown in with the analog stick. (Personally I would have preferred a camera similar to Devil Within the Tekken 5 minigame, along with the standard tekken 4 button attack system. but meh..) The two things that really bring this game down imo are the LONG LONG LOOOONG!!! load times and the save sytsem. If the Load times were shorter and you could save anywhere you want then the reviews for this game probably wouldnt have been reviewd so low by magazines and review sites. but yea in a nut shell

- decent graphics
- long load times
- fixed camera
- decent analog controls
- checkpoint like savesystem in which the save points you encounter are a little to far between eachother.

its enjoyable if you let it be but if you dont have the patience for it you will quit.

I thought it would be great, but eventually became extremely boring and a bit repetitive.
I guess I realized I just didn't have the patience for it.

I think it just tries too hard to be all these different kinds of genres when they should have just stuck to one.

DBD is a decent game and yeah Nina looks great in it. But this game was a fill in for Tekken 5 on the Ps2. It could’ve been much better though if Namco spent more time on it and took it more seriously

Btw, here's a run through of the whole game (with cut scenes) if you’re interested http://video.mail.ru/mail/mihavilov/242/

Eh, it was okay. Not exactly mind-blowing.

I rented this game about two years ago and I thought it was actually rather good, yeah the loading times are very long but I didn't mind it that much. There are a lot of complex puzzles in it aswell and some very cool moves, you should try it.

I've played the game, and was VERY dissapointed with it.

Personally wouldn't get it if I were you. Tekken and Nina are great, but the game is not... unfortunately.
