View Full Version : Where exactly is Natla Tech. HQ?
So yeah, i've searched them interwebs, as well as these boards, yet the question remains: where is Natla's HQ? Any particular city? Or just somewhere in USA?
We were as far as l know never told where it was, so just some city in the USA will probably have to do. Considering she only visited the building once and it was not playable it hardly seems important.

Yeah, well i just wanted to make a map of places visited by Lara in Core's games and inclusion of cinematic-only locations (ie Calcutta and Natla HQ) seemed like a good idea. Might as well omit them though.

when i originally played the first one, i thought it was in Phoenix, Arizona for a couple of reasons. first, because of its proximity to her prison in New Mexico. It's pretty much the closest major city. secondly, the geography (dry mountains) in the background looked a lot like the area, and the dusky red skies reminded me of the desert.
in anniversary, it would almost have to be new york. the city seems endless and NY is really the only metropolis that size in the US.
of course, it doesn't have to be in the USA, but because of her accent, i'm guessing that's where she's living.
I decided that Natla Tech, at least by 1996, had offices and labs in nearly every major capital. However as for the actual building portrayed in TR1 and TRA .... I kinda like the idea of LA. Failing that, what about Albuquerque?

yeah, i would say LA is a definite possiblity and probably very likely. Albuquerque seems far-fetched because of the type of buildings seen in the FMV. it lacks the skyscraper-style architecture.
What about Las Vegas?
A bad place for corporation?

^the geography is right, but if it was Las Vegas i think the city would look a lot different. it (for obvious reasons) looks very unique in an aerial view. i should say that these locations i've mentioned are only my opinion. there's really no way to be sure.

I think the Nokia N-Gage version of TR1 said it was in Seattle, but I'm not sure.
