Heheh I dunno why I'm doing this. I guess It's cause I'm so bored! It just sort of popped into my head as I was surfing the net. The age old question. Do blondes really have more fun? Oh and do you think that Brunettes are Smarter.

Recently a study was made that showed that men indeed prefer brunettes! I was very surprised since I always thought they liked blondes more. But nope it turned out that for long term relationship Brunettes topped the list and Blondes were chosen more for flings.

So anyways tell me your thoughts on this whole Blondes/Brunettes thing. I don't want this to become too serious. It'S just for fun. So enjoy

Definitly a brunette for me. Never been out with a blonde and have been with GF for 11 years now and she has jet black hair with a hint of grey coming through, she will killl me if she reads that, but I think it looks like highlights

Well, this is me (I'm the girl):
http://www.tombraiderforums.com/m/i/tands.jpg

And frankly, I have loads of fun!!! Brunettes do not have to worry about getting that right shade of blonde from the bottle, we look way more mysterious (I mean, come on, LARA is a brunette).

My favorite celebrity brunette:

Well, as far as " who has more fun" I'd say Brunnettes. Even though Blondes always say they have more fun, I tend to think otherwise. I dunno, it's just my oppinion. Maybe I am biased on this subject since I am a Brunnette. hahaha. My aunt ( Who is two years younger than me) and I always argued about what was prettier, because she was blonde and I'm a brunnette.haha. It was funny. So, us Brunnettes get my vote. :D

Marry to brunettes - yeah... well I guess that the wife has to be smart... sory for every girl that is blonde. I just don't like them - or at least I don't like the blondes that I met so far... Well I'm brunette and I'll never peroxide myself like my friends! Never!!!

I think it's stupid to judge peoples fun by their hair colour! I prefer a blondish brown colour but i really dont think that how much fun you have depends on your hair colour....thats just illogical and it doesn't make sense! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/pistol.gif

I have had bad experiences with blonde GFs, so now I am a convert. Always seems to me that brunettes are more intelligent. That's a horrible blanket statement, I know, but it has proven true to me!
My next GF will have to be a dark hair.

rogue_eclipse
02-09-03, 16:25
Yeah, yeah, yeah... I know you can't judge how much fun a person has based on their hair colour. It doesn't make sense. But since this is just for fun- what the he**. (I censored that myself, just in case. I 'd hate to get baned for a week)

Hmm well it is interesting that just about everyone who has replied to this is brunette. I like guys with dark hair (like that guy in Unfaithful, Oliver Martinez. He's also in S.W.A.T right now. He'S so sensual and mysterious) But I feel that men with blondish brown hair are very good looking too. For example Brad Pitt (an obvious choice) and Paul Walker. I like Jonathan Jackson too (Tuck Everlasting). I guess it is just that guys with dark hair automatically send a 'bad boy' signal to me. hehehe But I think they are really sweet too.

Well anyways this is about girls. That's interesting about men prefering brunettes. Yey for me. One I took the peroxide plunge but it didn't look good on me at all! So I'm back to my rick brown tone- Very much like Catherine-zeta-Jones.

Shandroid: You look like one of my friends!

For the person who is gonna get a tattoo: It hurts! But it hurts even more to get it removed so be sure you get something you won't regret. I'd advise you to make sure you know all the stuff associated with the eye of horus just so that you don't get something you might regret. I don't mean to sound prudish but a tattoo is a big thing. Oh and black ink tends to fade less with time. Also wear sunscreen on it if you do get it so that it fades less. (I hate faded tattoos, no offence)

I wonder if most people that come to this forumn are brunettes (or dark haired people). Maybe it has something to do with Lara being brunette! I know I wouldn't have been such a fan if she was blonde. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/whistle.gif

I would just like to say that I do not agree with what alot of people have said. I have naturally blonde hair. I do not think that blondes have more fun, or that they are bimbos, or stupid. I think you are what you choose to be. I don't think that it matters what color your hair is. That has no affect on the way you are.
I have met alot of different people in my life, and I do not judge them by the color of their hair.

I think that Brunettes tend to be more extreme. Like Lara for instance. More Brunettes are action packed than blondes. That's just the way it seems to me any way. All of my friends at one point were blondes, and I was the only brunette. haha. I was the one interested in extreme, daring stuff, I wanted to be action packed and all, and all my blonde friends were a little different. Actually a lot different. I think it's cool though. In that way Blondes are smarter. I want to do all kinds of extreme sports and skydiving and such, but I do admit it is stupid and most blondes know that. haha. But I don't mean all blondes and Brunettes are that way though. My mom is blonde and her sister is a Brunette and Mom was the one into the action thing, she'd do any dare, she even jumped off this HUGE bridge ( When she was a teenager, she wouldn't do that now. ) and her sister was such a chicken, she was too scared to do stuff like that. So I guess it does depend on the person. But I definately think Blondes and Brunettes are different in a lot of ways. Most of them any way, not all. It's weird. lol.

Uh, Melonie, spelling "school" "skool" is beyond ridiculous, it just makes a person sound dumb.

I hope all you kids still in school use proper English at least when you are in school, because it is important to learn how to spell and use grammar correctly. You will be in a sorry state when you go to college if you cannot write well, believe me, I know. I am sure I wrote at least 80 intensive papers in college.

People with black hair are considered brunettes as well. I have dark brown hair though. Any way, shandroid I dunno why you are making such a big deal because she spelled school, skool. It's computer talk, she knows how to spell that she just chose not too. I use computer typing like that sometimes, and I'm not dumb. I'm a senior in high school at 16 (I'm homeschooled), so you can't tell me I'm dumb. Any way, just because you don't use computer talk doesn't mean it's dumb. You looked pretty young in that picture, so I figured you'd understand, but apparently not. I'm not trying to argue, but leave LadyLC alone, she is not dumb, she seems very intellegent to me. I mean, student of the year is awesome. So please, don't get all out of wack because she spelled school wrong ON PURPOSE. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

1.Goatee's and beards are very nice on a man.
2. There are more things to worry about than the spelling og SCHOOL.
3. I have multi color hair, it's red, light brown, and blonde BY BIRTH not a bottle. it's a pain, but, It's natural.
4. The brains in our heads aren't what make us dumb or fun, it's the personality inside and the ability to absorb information.
5. I'm still not happy my daughter will be blonde only because she will tend to burn in the sun, and various other medical reasons. Not because I think she will be stupid.
6. Be glad you have hair. i am 31 and losing it, fast. They said after I had my daughter it would fall out, but this is ridiculous.!!!!

Before this thread go on,why doess hair color become driving factor in what type of girl(or guy) you perfer? Don't you guys care for a girl thats going to treat good rather than some brunette or blonde girl that don't have any brains?

I'm going to be honest, I don't care if you redhead, brunette, black hear, green hair or whatever color;as long as your a girl thats going to treat me good and make me happy, thats all I want. Same go with race,ethnicity/background. I'm not going to perfer a asian girl over a latin,afro-american,caucasian or arabic girl. As along as your goal is making me happy, I'm going love you for whatever. Hair or skin color don't mean nothing to me.

This is an ancient discussion, it's been done for more years than I care to count... It was a very "popular" thing at my old school. Hair-color was EVERYTHING! Quite sad, if you ask me! People said that blonds were dumb, brunettes were pretty and red-heads were smart... If you wanted to come accross as "smart" all you had to do was dye your hair! (this was when my entire school lived for the x-files, I think Scully was a bit to blame) :D If you wanted to be popular, you made sure you had dark hair and so on...

Personally, I have no clue what causes this, but some scientists say that most guys do prefer brunettes for long-term relationships because it's some sort of basic instinct. Humans (as a race), appearantly, strive for becoming albinos so blonds are actually further down the line in evolution! Blonds with blue eyes are the most evolved of all people!!!

Now, I don't know if this is true or not, but that's what the guy said.

I never judge people by their looks, I believe I would have missed out on alot of great experiences if I would. Being a metal-fan I tend to speak to alot of "black-haired" people http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif , but as you can imagine - most of them dye their hair... It's absurd to think that one color is better than another and what really brings people together is a common interest - just look at us! :D

Sage
03-09-03, 12:09
I grew up in the 80's, axl rose and skid row were the thing. If you wanted to fit in, you had to bleach, frost, perm, and dye your hair. Thank God I was not a follower.

No, we don't see blonde apes, but I still don't think that means that blonde haired, blue eyed humans are further on in the evolutionary sceme of things. How many pure white tigers do you see? Not many. Well, you don't see many tigers anyway, but pure white ones are even more rare. That doesn't mean they are more evolved. Now if they were living in a snow environment, I could see the reason to evolve a completely white coat. For humans, though, there really is no reason for a race of blonde haired, blue eyed people to evolve. This, of course, is only my personal opinion. I think I'm going to look more into the scientific aspect, though. Any suggested sources?

Ok, I'm going to be quiet with the genetics and evolution stuff :D I get too caught up in it.

Trinity,

I believe that Nat is drawing her points off some research that, yes, has shown that only 2-5% of the whole world's population is blonde by nature and that because it is so rare, humans strive to be blonde. It is unconsciously seen as a sign of fertility, exactly in the same manner as large eyes and proportionate prominent facial features are regarded as a sign of beauty. Then of course, I myself agree that what one might like another person might dislike, and as far as I am concerned the 'opposites attract' theory does not work one bit (I've spent my life looking for the male version of me, very SAD but very true also), but it is scientifically proven that blonde is seen as superior evolution and beauty. I think this is what Nat is saying, I don't think she is believing in XYZ but objectively, people who are into the theories of evolution have found these interesting facts. I for one thing fit the bill perfectly, my ideal man being Jon Bon Jovi, blonde, blue-eyed and damn right beautiful, HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Your welcome LadyLC. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif Shandroid had no business bashing you like that, I think she just wants every one to think she is sooooooo intellent, but that rude remark just made her seem dumb, too dumb to understand that people like to type in " computer talk". Just because she doesn't does not mean that other people shouldn't. I have a friend who is 16 and has already been in college for two years, and is going for another two years( I know, he's a nerd, but he is such a good friend I don't mind), and he types like that ALL the time! There is nothing wrong with it. Oh, and as far as that evolution thing, I disagree. I do not believe in evolution, I think it's all false. If stuff evolved then, then why isn't it evolving now? It's not. That's a bunch of crud I think. And if we came from apes, then where did apes come from? Some explosion or whatever? no way, that doesn't even make sense. And humans are NOT animals, I repeat NOT animals. We are HUMANS. If you guys choose to believe this then I honestly don't mind, and I don't mean to sound rude about it. I believe in creation. I'm a Christian, and I believe God created the universe and every thing in it. That makes A LOT more sense than this worl just popping up one day. But whatever, I don't wanna sound like a jerk, so I'll just leave it at that. No hard feelings any one. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Well, I think people are people regardless of their hair color. All look good too, I'd say we are all equilly good looking, because it's more of the face than the hair. Here are some good examples.Nikki ( The Blonde) and Lara ( The Brunette. http://cubemedia.ign.com/cube/image/rogueOps_071703_02.jpg http://ps2media.ign.com/ps2/image/traod_0320_02_23.jpg
