View Full Version : My TR1 review
Hello all. I changed my mind ( happens a bit with me :p) and now I would like to write my thoughts about all the classic TR games! At least the first three. It's cool to do because I have played many times these games and I know them to heart, except TR3 and some of TR4 being so big.
So I am beggining this Sunday my particular TR marathon and I start with this little gem that is TR1. This game is just awesome, instant classic, legendary, brilliant! It's close to being my favourite of all, but I have a serious debacle between TR1 and TR2 being the best one or another, I just can't decide which is better.... The complain about TR1 could be the difficult controls and the lack of inmediate response of jumping. But being old as it is, it was revolutionary back in the first days of PS.
So I will begin with the first two levels of TR1. Screenies included also by me.
Level 1: Caves
Ahhh....the beggining of a great adventure! I thought so the first time I played on PS and I wasn't wrong at all! After the cool FMV that serves as a introduction of the game, you are left alone in the inside of a great Peruan cave in the snowy mountains....epic moment.:jmp:
The start is just great, you see the depths of the cave waiting before you and there is a sense of calm and tranquility, helped by the soft ambiental music. You see footprints on the floor which tells you to be alert, there may be danger in the caves. As you advance, you trigger the first trap of the game and darts come out from the walls. I almost jumped the first time here hehe.
As you advance in the cave you encounter some bats, a minor nuisance for Lara and her twin pistols. The cave is pretty big and well-done, really impressive.
You get into a big area with wood bridges. I like that place, there are two wolves down there ready to get you if you accidentally fall down. You can take 'em safely from above.
A little bit later you have to jump over a pit to avoid getting into trouble down below with a savage bear. I remember the first time I played I fell there and suddenly saw the bear....almost had a heart attack!! :yik:
OMG a bear there??! You can decide to let the bear live, but if you feel adventurous to go down there there is a small medipack for your troubles which is nice.
You get to another big area with stairs going down and suddenly....two wolves attack! Another of those scary TR situations but I am prepared for it now and take them withouth probs. Nice timed door in this area. They begin to test your ability a bit, there.
Eventually you have to go down though crumbling floor (the wolf there can give you a nice surprise) and you get into the last part, where you need to find a switch to open the big door for the next level.
A small but great level. A perfect start. :)

Level 2:City of Vilcabamba
Another great level following the cave theme, but introducing traces of an ancient tribe with an ancient temple, some ancient rooms, halls, statues, locked doors and foliage covering some parts. Also some nasty traps/situations, including the classic but good oscillating blades trap. This is where levels begin to get long.
This level has a lot of memorable (and scary ) moments. The beginning is one of my favourite moments, where no less than 4 hungry wolves attack suddenly!! This is another one of those moments where I got pretty scared when I first played the game. There is also a nasty surprise on one of the corridors at the beggining where there is another wolf sleeping between the bushes. And there is another scary situation when you are about to enter the stables you see on the center of the cavern, when suddenly a big bear comes out of nowhere!! When you open the locked door there is even another great situation whith many wolves attacking you in the big room where the temple lies. And also at the end of the level where there is a bear waiting for you outside of the water pool...you don't want to get out of the water!
One of my favourite levels: 10/10

Great - keep posting, I enjoy reading stuff like this. I am replaying TR1 now as well starting yesterday. I've just got to Tomb of Qualopec!
I'm so glad that I've found this forum, and I'm no longer the only TR obsessive I know of!!!

Keep on your great work !
What version do you play and take your screenshots from ? (Playstation or Dreamcast emulator, original PC graphics with an old PC or do you use a modern one with the patch to get the 3D card benefits ?)

a nice review! Those pictures bring back memories!
Good stuff Danath! Nicely written review and super screenshots too.:tmb:
What was your original opinion?
At first I wanted to do just TR3 review but I realised it would be cool to make a review for TR1 & 2 also because I know them every bit and bring me back a lot of good memories. :)
Thanks for the positive comments on it. More soon. It's hard to play, take good screens, prepare them and think how to write in a interesting way all at the same time.:o
I play with the enhanced graphics on a modern PC. ;)
Keep them coming your doing a great review:tmb:
Level 3: Lost Valley
Another awesome cavern level. The right amount of exploration and combat in this one also, this game is perfectly balanced overall. :)
I like the beggining with that waterfall and the wolves waiting for you down. As you climb a section of the cavern you come across the skeleton of a poor fellow that died there. And as you go down that place, you enter into a memorable place: The Lost Valley! :jmp: With raptors waiting to taste Lara's meat. :D There are nasty-placed raptors on the caves in the sides of the valley, and there is the great encounter with the infamous....T-Rex!! :p (I sacrificied poor Lara in the making of one of the screenshots :cln:)
I like that jump across the bridge to find one of the three cogs needed. The first time I didn't believed she could jump that far!
Epic level: 10/10

Level 4:Tomb of Qualopec
Nice level, a bit too short though. Lara finds herself inside an old temple, with three ways to go, but all closed. So you know it will be a mostly explorational level. As you lower the lever one of the door opens and you hear heavy footsteps.....raptors! :yik: Man Core is crazy, they put those fast enemies in small places..... if you don't use the shotgun you're in for a tough fight as there are 2 of them. I don't like that level as much because of those hard encounters with raptors.
There is another dangerous moment when you fall into an area with wolves.
When you open the three locked doors you encounter that Scion piece along with the body of Qualopec on his throne....And when you pick the Scion piece suddenly the ceiling starts to fall! Lara get outta there! :p
When you escape you find the mercenary guy hired by Natla and you have to fight him. Great moment.

Nice work Danath.:tmb: I can't imagine you're doing anything illegal by writing about a game and posting screenshots from it, it never got me or Smog into trouble. I'm really looking forward to Greece, my favourite location.:D

Excellent reviews, Danath :) I think that your decision to review the game level-by-level makes for a much more interesting and fluid format than my Tomb Raider II Review. Your screenshots are similarly well chosen and illustrative.
Well done! :D

BEAUTIFUL PICTURE. I has just something that is missing on Anniversary's Valley. Apart from the fact it is not misteriosly a circular arena.

I just completed tomb of qualopec very quickly - I like the raptor encounters and didn't get too much damage. Do remember the level being longer last time I played though!?
I like the way Qualopec falls on the ground if you touch him. Gross!

Qualopec falls on the ground? Really? You learn something every day!
BEAUTIFUL PICTURE. I has just something that is missing on Anniversary's Valley. Apart from the fact it is not misteriosly a circular arena.
Yeah, that circular arena deceived me in Anniversary.....:hea:
I have been thinking a bit and I'm not going to make more screenshots. It just takes me a lot of time to choose the moments, edit, resize, post, etc. an d I have a lot of other games to play (apart from the TR series) so....:( If anyone wants to post their pics he/she is welcome to do so.;) Anyway, two more levels before going to sleep:
Level 5: St. Franci's Folly
After watching the great scene with the elevator and Lara reading the Diary (have to vote at the other thread! :D) Lara learns the location of other piece of the Scion and goes to the temple in the Greek mountains.
Another blast of a level! :jmp: Very big classic. The beggining is intense with two lions coming up right away from the start! :yik: A bit later there is a dangerous encounter with 2 gorillas at the small room.
And right after exiting you encounter with Pierre in a very interesting battle between the collumns.:D
The big central "hub" area is just awesome, with an impressive design back then in that year. Plenty of times in the past I fell passing through that area to get to the themed rooms, with a bit of :cen: words also.:D
The Damocles room rocks with those falling swords. The first time almost had a heart attack with this.:p
The Neptune room is short but cool with that long passage going underwater.
The Atlas room is good too, with that rock falling as you pass by (what better to represent the earth than a rock trying to chomp Lara? :D)
The only room I hate is the Thor one......that damned trap always hits me and I have to use a medipack.:hea: I have to lower the score because of that mean trap.
When you get all down to open the final door with the keys there's Pierre again trying to kill Lara. Man he is obsessed ( love pheraps? ). :p
Score: 9/10
Level 6: Colosseum
Yet another great level. :) You begin by killing that poor crocodile (as he doesn't let Lara swim with him :D). At the other side of the pool you arrive at the Colosseum.
Again, pretty impressive design considering the game is very old! It is guarded by aggressive lions.
At the colosseum awesome arena  you encounter (again) with Pierre and there are some wild animals lurking there at the bottom. But the arena fights are nothing for Lara! :p
In one of the rooms of the bottom you encounter a nasty surprise when 2 lions try to eat Lara.
You have to resolve a nice puzzle involving levers all about the arena area to find the key opening the ending underwater room, with a crocodile lurking. Careful....you pass by it and get to the end of the room where the current propulses Lara to the next level.....
Score: 10/10
Nice reviews again Danath.:tmb: Hopefully, someone will post some screenshots.
Qualopec falls on the ground? Really? You learn something every day!
Actually, I don't think Qualopec falls to the ground, it's one of the mummies that does that.
This is a really good review.
Although maybe you should talk about the enemies a bit less, its more interesting to hear your thoughts on the actual levels.
Level 6: Colosseum
Score: 10/10
Not sure I agree there. Actually, I'm sure I don't agree. There are some undeniably great things about this level, but there are also some major blunders, like all the horrible slowdown in the main arena and the half-arsed approach the puzzle rooms. Still, good to hear your opinion. :)

Maybe Danath is giving too many levels 10/10, but I don't think there was anything wrong with the puzzle rooms or the main arena.
Yes maybe I give too many 10's here, but I love the levels of this game very much, with the perfect dose of action and exploration. Pherhaps I'm not very impartial here with the scores... :D
Yes, the colosseum puzzle rooms are a little too easy, but I like them anyway. Also I'm playing on the PC enhanced version, so there aren't slowdowns, but yes, in PS there were major slowdowns.....:(
Two more levels today: ;)
Level 7: Palace Midas
As the current takes Lara forward, she arrives at the pool of the Midas Palace.
The palace is has beautiful design and it's pretty enormous, with lots of exploration to be done. There is a lot of feeling that you are alone in a big and dangerous forgotten palace. As you exit the water pool you see various routes you can take which is always great in an adventure game. :)There is a lot of combat too in this level, with various gorillas, lions and crocodiles trying to ruin your day.:p
I love the main puzzle room of the palace, with the doors that only get opened with the right combination of levers pressed.
The spiked traps behind one of the doors are great and very dangerous, you have to jump carefully there. Many times I died there trying to pass fast to the other side of the columns. :jmp:
The fire trap is also great, you have to jump at the right moment or else you don't get to the other side.
And I also like the other room where you have to pull a block and you cause a big tremor. It was creative, and I got scared the first time because I thought I was going to be buried alive. :D
When you have the three iron bars, the main objective of the level, you have to search for the statue of Midas itself behind the "garden" area, to convert them to gold bars. Too bad you can only see his feet and one of his hands. :p I got stuck for good on this level the first time because I didn't know the hand could convert those bars...
One of the best levels: 10/10
Level 8: The Cistern
You arrive at what it seems to be the great sewers of the Midas Palace.
The ambientation is very good. It feels like an old, big and wet abandoned sewer. The background sounds contribute to the good ambience of the level. They remind me a bit of the sounds of Offshore Rig of TR2. :)
For a change, this is a level I don't like that much. Sure, the ambientation is good, but I don't like much the sewers theme. It feels a bit "ugly" level to me.
I have to say that I find pretty cool the puzzles involving the water level, another place I got stuck...
I dislike the encounter with Pierre in one of the sewer rooms, because I got a pesky bug a lot of times on the PS, involving Pierre not dissapearing properly when you hurt him.
Score: 6/10
Level 7: Palace Midas
One of the best levels: 10/10
Now that I do agree with! :tmb:
I dislike the encounter with Pierre in one of the sewer rooms, because I got a pesky bug a lot of times on the PS, involving Pierre not dissapearing properly when you hurt him.
I think I've had bugs like that a few times. I loved the way Pierre popped up and started shooting though. The first time I played The Cistern, I had no idea when he was going to appear. I wondered if he was going to appear in one of the rooms containing a silver key but there was nothing there. Then I took the key and, sure enough, along came Pierre.:D
Level 9: Tomb of Tihocan
This level has a mixed feeling for me, I love one part and not like the other. :(
It begins with another sewer section (uggh..), where you have to get up and up until you meet even another time with the never-tiring Pierre. After loading his butt with bullets, :p you continue your venture through the ending part of the sewers, where there is a room with multiple doors.
I like that part with all the doors, which only 2 do provide the rusty keys necessary to advance. The other doors contain some nasties among a bit of a reward (bullets, medipacks).Nice.:)
Then after you use the 2 keys, the best part starts. You approach finally the Temple of Tihocan, but before entering.....one of the giant statues comes to life!! :yik: That scared me completely the first time.
After you deal with the centaur boss (funny fight), you enter the temple hoping to get the Scion piece before Pierre.....but you have to fight again with the French guy (he never learns:D). This time you kick his a** for good and finally get the Scion piece.
Pretty good: 8/10
The FMV at the ending is great, showing Lara reading an ancient mural about Tihocan and the atlantean fate. It feels a lot that Lara is finding a great and ancient treasure.
Also the FMV with the vision part is very pretty, showng the location of the third and last Scion piece, after a long, long tunnel going into the shadows..... :jmp:
Egypt tomorrow.;)
I love your review. :)
OMG, TR1 are SOO much better that Anniversary. Especially in Peru and Lost Island. CD pulled St. Francis Folly and Egypt off the best.

Nice reviews again Danath.:tmb: Hopefully, someone will post some screenshots.
Actually, I don't think Qualopec falls to the ground, it's one of the mummies that does that.
Something shrivels up and falls over when you go up to it in the tomb anyway!!
Who is the mummy? Where is Qualopec?
Thanks for the positive comments on it. More soon. It's hard to play, take good screens, prepare them and think how to write in a interesting way all at the same time.:o
I play with the enhanced graphics on a modern PC. ;)
Hi Daneth, yeah I'm sure it is hard to play and take screenshots etc...very well done in doing that though :tmb: TR1 looks really good in Glidos dosen't it. I admit I haven't really read though your diaries properly but I will do so. :)
Okay mates, here we go: :D
Level 10: City of Khamoon
After the totally amazing FMV's earlier, Lara continues her adventure in Egypt, mythical land of the pyramids and pharaohs....:p
The beginning is good, with that little puzzle involving the two blocks that you have to move to climb to the other side.
Then it follows the amazing section with that Sphinx and the water pool. Brilliant scenery! :) But....here appears the only part I don't like about the Egypt levels.....those damn living mummies!! I know, I know....the game has to get harder progressively, but it's just that I hate those mummies running and jumping in circles with their histerical cryes. They drive me nuts! :hea: :cen: :D
Well, in that part with the Sphinx you can see at that beautiful little pool that you need four "keys" in order to open those big doors back there. I always loved that moment, it made me thought: I have some heavy work now finding those keys! :jmp:
You move on and find the always great zone with the temple guarded by a funny cat statue. When you enter it, you find the other amazing (and scary) place, the room with all those panthers prowling at the bottom.
Good level: 8/10
Level 11: Obelisk of Khamoon
You continue with the search of the four "keys" there.
This is an amazing level! Long, full of traps, exploration, awesome jumping, puzzles, and a good dose of action also! Tomb Raider as its best. :)
I love the central part with the obelisk and the four bridges having the "keys". I have gotten a little stuck there now with the puzzles even having played it hundreds of times! :vlol::vlol:
The way this level connects with the previous one is great, with that long passage underwater.
Then you can finally insert the four found objects in the pillar above the pool, and that massive door opens into the unknown depths......awesome moment. :jmp:
Even if this level also features those godamn mummies, I have to give it a 10...It's just so great.;)
Score:10/10
Another good review Danath.:tmb: My favourite part of Egypt next, the Sanctury of the Scion. I just love the giant sphinx.
Ok folks, I have just finished TR1 and I have the latest part covered. I couldn't resist taking screenshots of this great final part of the game so here are some screenies too! :jmp:
Level 12: Sanctuary of the Scion
Here begins the awesome final part of the game, featuring an impressive stream of great levels one after the another. Man, I do love this game!
You begin in front of the great stairs leading onto the depths of the Sanctuary. The first alert sign comes right in, as two skinless demons appear from the dark to fight Lara.
After a bit, you appear in one of the two colossal parts of the level: the Great Sphinx area.
This area is just *BIG*!! You appear from behind the "neck" of the Great Sphinx without knowing it. You slide down from one side or the other and as you turn around.....you see its frontal part and then you get: OMG amazing!!. At least that is how I was feeling the first time, this level won a special place in my heart ( as Lara did ).
This area also features a lot of great jumping action to get to the necessary two artifacts to unlock the way further. I loved the battles with the flying demons also.
The second colossal area of the level is the underwater part with the two gian statues. Another OMG moment.
And the end of the level totally rocks, as you go up a loooong passage and end at where you began the level, with a battle with two demons and a centaur.:yik: And to end, a little battle with Larson who guards the last Scion piece. I think it's my favourite level. :)
Score: 10/10 ( what else? :jmp:)
The Great Sphinx in all its splendor:

The awesome water area:
http://i28.tinypic.com/24pxjeb.jpg
Finally!:
http://i32.tinypic.com/2ewp0di.jpg
After Lara gets the last Scion piece and goes out into the terrible egyptian heat, she is captured by Natla and his three bad meanies. Natla takes the three Scion pieces along with Lara's weapons and the morons try to kill her, but fail miserably.
Then Lara gets her motorbike and goes to get his revenge through the awesome rocky canyon sequence, ending with a distraction jump with the motorbike into the sea to get to the bad guys/gal boat. Lara gets up in the beautiful sunset and sees the isle which is Natla's "secret base", and goes in without thinking it twice. Total awesomeness.
Level 13: Natla Mines
Lara begins her journey into the island at the great "dock" section of the Natla Mines. She doesn't have any guns, but.....she has all the medipacks! ( did I say earlier they are morons? ). Great ambience in that sector, with that waterfall by one side and the boat Natla used attached to the other side.
There are HEAPS of exploration in this level, almost no combat there except the duels with the three "Moronic Mercenaries" (MM). :p
I got stuck as hell in this level the first time I played, I must confess I had to use a walkthrough to get to one of the levers here (the one that is on a ceiling space right behind the drill machine).
There is a *great* sense of accomplishment when you use the three fuses and you finally get your twin pistols back ( Lara: "ready to rock on!" ). Epic moment.
When you get the pistols it's time to kick the but of the first MM: the cowboy guy. You have to be very careful in the fight because there are lots of nasty pits on the floor that are easy to get into. I have gotten into them like 5 times playing this time. :vlol:
After taking the awesome magnums back for good, a great part follows with the lava river, which you have to cross. Good jumping area.
Some time later, there is the fight with the second MM, the skating weirdo. You have to be careful, as he has the amazing Uzis in his possession and can shoot Lara full of holes in no time.
Man, the Uzis absolutely rock my life, love them totally. Perfect combination of speed and power. :D It's my favourite weapon in the TR series, tied with the also powerful M-16 rifle of TR2. :jmp:
After some exploring and puzzle solving time, you get to the end of the level, featuring the duel with the last MM: the black dude. No match for Lara's Uzis....
Then you open the big doors of....Atlantis!
Awesome: 9/10

I had been playing along at the same pace and enjoying your reviews but you've taken the lead! I'm at Natla's Mines (nowhere near as expert as you so I'm slow. I only finished the game once, five years ago). I have your reviews to look forward to reading when I finish the last few levels though! :D
I played through Tomb of Tihocan-Natla's Mines today so your review is fresh. I loved coming up to the Obelisk with the four keyholes and all that green beautiful scenery. What I loved about Egypt in this game over Anniversary is the delightful colours and environment. I felt in Anniversary Egypt was dark and crypt-like. It just had a totally different feel.
Thanks for some great reviews. I agree with the whole Cistern thing, I dread that level - though others seem to love it!
Ah, Sanctuary of the Scion ... flawed genius. But genius nonetheless! This was the level I got the most stuck on when I first played the game, so much so that I gave up. It takes a great level to get you so entirely stuck but also endure as one of the all-time greats. In fact, there aren't many all-time great level which don't get you stuck! :D

Very true!
Ok this is ending, I always get kinda sad when I arrive at the final part of TR1, but it has to end one day or another.....
Level 14: Atlantis
Atlantis at last. The beginning is very memorable, with the unknown awaiting you and that heartbeat background sound, incresing the atmosphere of being all alone into a dangerous and unexplored place....
The "living" walls in this level always get me freaked out, they are super-disgusting! A minor flaw for a great level, and also they contribute to understanding the story, so no major complaints there.
The level is great, with the just balance between the fight with the atlantean mutations ( gotta love'em ) and the exploration and puzzles all TR titles need. And many traps, of course.
The doppleganger Lara is awesome. Though you need to be atent at this, the first time I died because I was shooting like crazy because of the mutants, and I thought she was an enemy too. :vlol: That puzzle is great, also timed to make it more challenging.
I also love that are with the passage underwater barred by 3 doors. You have to press the right levers, if not you have to fight with more mutants than the necessary for your error. Nice.
The ending part of the level is my favourite. You have to climb a loooong way, with traps waiting, awesome jumping and flying mutants to boot. Epic.
Then you get at the top, where Natla awaits Lara to explain everything with the great FMV....and trying to kill her, of course, because she is a burden to her plans. Natla falls down after "arguing" with Lara and seem to have died....but who knows! Our heroine also falls, but to another place where there is a big, scary monster ready to awake.......
Great level: 10/10

Here we are. The last and great level of this epic game.
Lara finds herself against the big, bad and MEAN "torso-guy". :vlol: To speak the truth, I never found this monster scary or the like, instead I found it funny. The first time I thought: lol it doesn't has legs!. Fortunately for Lara, though, if it had legs I think this would have grown to be a nearly-impossible encounter, because there is not much space to fight it. I have fallen quite a lot this last time playing because I am always looking at the enemy and the camera gots pretty close and you don't see the pit if you're moving all the time. If you stop for a few seconds then you can see if the pit is close.
The amount of ammo for the Uzi you have by this time is simply amazing. Like 3000 bullets..... almost enough to take out all of Atlantis XD.
After Torso-Guy collapses ( and explodes for amusement ), the race to get out of there back again at the Scion to destroy it begins, ending in a room where you have to press 2 levers and have a very limited time to pass through the bridge that raises.
After destroying the Scion for good, then begins the real meat of the level. A massive amount of traps await Lara in her way out of the Pyramid, where you have to prove your skills at tomb-raiding. There is one that I grew to hate it, involving crumbling floor, a falling rock and a Scythe swinging.....
There is a trap I always enjoy, in the big room where you have to fall a long way to a single square of water. Challenging. And there is another trap I don't like at the room with a pool and some fires lined up. I can't get to the other side without using at least one large medipack in the process.
Then, after the long, long way infested with all sorts of traps, you get to the exit of the Pyramid, where....oh my god! Natla is there waiting to crush (or blast would be more precise ) our poor Lara ( weren't the traps enough ).
You have to take out Natla for 2 times, one while she is flying and other in the floor. If people is capable of defeating Natla without using medipacks on the process, two big thumbs up for them! I find it much much hard, I have to use at least one always. Oh well....
When Natla finally eats dust for good ( really? :pi:) there is the great way up the massive room to escape from the isle. This is where I get sad all time because I know I'm a few jumps away from finishing this game....
Well, finally Lara escapes safely from the isle and takes the conveniently placed boat outta there, surely hoping to get a nice, long vacation ( she could bathe in the sun at the boat! :D) and a big sense of relief having saved the world....
Awesome: 9/10

This is it, friends, my review comes to an end.
I'm not sure about doing one for TR2 and 3, I kinda feel like I would be doing some :spm: there. Also other people have done them already, so no need for me to do another.... And it takes time also!
So I think this is: :D

fabulous review, especially the final bit!
great stuff well done
i look forward to the TR2 review if you decide to do it :)
A great way to end your reviews Danath, well done.:tmb: I think Sanctuary of the Scion is one of my favourites as well. I love the music that plays when you get to the bottom of the giant sphinx, and the moments when you realise that one of the winged mutants is coming for you.
Atlantis is great as well; probably the hardest level in the game. I think it's the only level in TR1 which I have to use medipacks for these days.
Great diary, Danath! Although you rated everything a bit highly for my liking, but I'm way too critical anywayz. :p I really enjoyed reading!
Thanks for all the positive comments, friends. :) Do you mind if I do the review for TR2 & 3? I forgot I "have" to do the 3rd because I'm going to re-discover it for the most part, and 2 is a fabulous game.... man I change opinions fast do I? :D I do not want to compete with anyone or anything like that, it's just that I love sharing my opinions with other fellow TR players. ;)
Wow, I got a lot of visits on the review topic, I'm glad other people find it interesting! :tmb:

I absolutely loved to read your review :jmp: and to see your awesome screenshots :tmb:
I you were to review TR2&3 Danath, I'm sure I'd enjoy reading them.:)
Great review, Danath! :D :tmb: Keep up the great work!
I like the way Qualopec falls on the ground if you touch him. Gross!
That's wasn't him, Qualopec was the one sitting in the chair, it was said that he stared at the Scion until he died.

Hi, just read the posts, keep it up as it brings alot of good memories from the first game, well done. Can't wait for your next post!!:D
Thank you, tombraider_fan, and welcome aboard! :tmb:
Unfortunately the first game is finished, but I'm reviewing TR2 at the moment if you want to read it. ;)
Really excellent reviews, Danath. :tmb:
When I first looked at that screenshot of the T-Rex from The Lost Valley, I thought for a moment that it had wings. :D But it was just the bridge behind it.
