View Full Version : Do you want Crystal Dynamics to bring back the Legend pistols?
Hey guys! :wve:
You might ask youselves, why I opened this thread. Well, I've prepared a picture for you, so you can see the reason with your own eyes ...
On the left side of the picture we have the HK USP Match pistol, which Angelina used in the TR movies.
In the middle you can see the the TRL version of the movie gun, which looks just perfect, imo.
And finally, on the right side, you can see the Underworld version of the movie gun, which looks a bit strange, because if you compare it with the other two guns, the barrel is to slim and the start of the barrel is bigger/higher than the rest of the barrel, which makes the whole gun look extremely odd, because such guns doesn't exist ...
Now that you know my opinion, I want to know yours. Should Crystal bring back the Legend pistols?
A poll would be nice but it's not necessary ;) ...

WOW. You have a sharp eye. Now that you mention it, it does look rather slim and odd. I love the Legend guns, and want them as the main weapon. A little weaker however ;)

Great thread. I don't really mind to be honest. As long as she has 2 pistols, I'm ok with it.
I don't really consider what her pistols look like as long as they're present in some form, but I personally prefer the twin vectors from AOD. Not that I've ever played with them - I play on the PS2 and have no idea how to get them - but they do look great.
I have these gun's in real life :D, and yes I want them back in Underworld and future games! :D

They do look awesome in the cutscenes though. Even when she's just brandishing them around.
It's not a huge deal to me - Both guns look sexy. Unlike RAID, however, I would prefer it if they remain as strong as the guns in Legend or Anniversary. The excessively weak pistols always irritated me in the originals.

I like the underworld guns.
not that it matters that much if they decided to change them :)
yes, i like the Legend pistols. just make them have a 15 bullet/clip capacity. i thiught that the 20 ammo clips in Anniversary was too much. also. make them weaker, so we have to take a bit longer to kill something.

Really I couldn't care less. Of course this could be a big deal for you (considering you have named yourself after the guns :D), but it could be a terribly big deal for Crystal (I think). They would have to change the Lara model and outfits etc. I think that wouldn't be a small change, but a work of several days. So if the community could chose between improving the game in general and improving details of the pistols for a few days, you could imagine yourself what people would prefer. :)

The current pistols aren't very different from Legend's and to be honest, I don't mind how the pistols look - as long as they are practical I'm fine.
Actually I would like to have the Pistols from TRA. Much cooler in design.

The new ones look so much sleeker. :D they're supposed to fire underwater anyway, you;d need slim ones lol

I like the new ones better. I don't like big clunky weapons and I think the anniversary ones were much cooler as well. I guess the USP's are stronger and more usefull, but the TRA/TRIV FMV ones look much more beautiful (weird calling a gun beautiful) imo. I can't remember the name of that pistol.
The TRU guns look a bit different from the Legend USP model though. More like an Desert Eagle combined with USP.

No the Legend and Underworld guns are HKUSP guns, however the Anniversary main guns are Desart Eagles.
Her guns? I don't care, as long as they're not pink*, there's two of 'em and they come with unlimited bullets :)
* - pink isn't used as a reference to any kind of 'Barbie Lara' (I just don't want them in any odd colours).. I've never felt that the Barbie thing was properly justified..

They should be a bit weaker. I remember when you playthe classic TRs and the pistols just SUCK, so you DIE for something better. On Legend and Anni, I only use them because it is quite good and no need for others...

absolutley right! It's slim. I've noticed that from the first day just couldn't be bothered to talk about it. This should be fixed for sure

Yeah, they are too plastic. That black plastic part doesn't look very stylish.

I used to have one of her guns, but as an airsoft gun. It was a piece of crap. If at all possible I would like a totally unique gun that hasn't ever been seen before that much cause this gun is also in Half-Life. It would just be cool for Lara to have a different of gun from everyone else. Although these ones are fine.
I have her airsoft dual HKUSP guns! :D

I agree, I hated how they'd pretty much be as powerful as most of the other weapons. But I suppose making them as useless as they where in the original games would be nice.

So let me get this straight, you are complaining that Lara has customised guns in Underworld. Since when does Lara have to have exactly the same guns as the movies, in case people missed it the movie guns were not fired underwater. This smells to me like people want to have their cake and eat it as well, you want pistols that do new things and yet you want them to be exactly the same as the ones in Legend. Seems to come under the same heading as people who want new innovative games, but want everything to be exactly the same as the old games.
The guns look fine to me, l am sure Crystal Dynamics know what they are doing, they are after all the ones making the game.

To get twin weapons of any kind for AOD you would need to cheat, for the PS2 gameshark would probably have the codes. Hardly seems worthwhile going to all that trouble though, unless you have the cheat disc already.

Not customised. They are intended to be HK USP's (as you can deduce from their style) but I just think that Crystal reached better results with their Legend-style guns. As I said before, the Underworld guns are to slim and bulky - and this is not just my opinion ...
I don't care about how shiny her guns are gonna be, just to use them less:tea: - to be forced to use melee combat, melee + environment objects, double UZIS and a shotgun:) (I don't want any of these, besides the melee:D, to be shiny):D
