Keep Amanda Rutland and Natla
I've noticed that a lot of people in here don't really like the Fact/Magagine BS
that such characters from previous games from Crystal will be making their return, including the Ex-God-Queen of Atlantis.
In the other hand, I think that that is a great move from CD/EIDOS, because I think that Amanda might be the one who releases Natala from where she's trapped. I mean, I don't think that Lara would. I think that if that indeed does happen, Natla would be more bad-ass this time! And Rutland... Oh Rutland... Hes not a very enjoyable enemy, but at least he's rich:vlol:

I agree. There should be a rule that these type of threads need to be approved by a mod or admin from now on. I'm about to go insane...
Although, I do think that they should keep Amanda and Natla (as I said in another thread), but not Rutland. :)

So, I'm curious now.. What do people dislike? The acronyms or the content?
As I see it, the threads are like discussion packed in a fancy title and with a preset (and highly obvious) starting point.. from there you can agree or disagree and the discussion has the possibility of going anywhere a 'normal' thread would go... So, people who wants to burn these threads, what do you dislike about them? Is it the possibility of going mental by sorting out the meaning of each thread? Would you not mind it if this thread was called "Keep Amanda, Rutland and Natla"? - or is it what the thread is about?
As it goes for me it's less about the title, although I think there're way too many shortcuts nowadays. But it's more about the nature of the content. I see threads like "Get rid of NVIDIA logos" or "keep the bigfileXX.dat files in TR directory" coming. Don't get me started about their titles.

the abbreviated title might prevent some people from spoiling it if they dont already know that those characters will be back. And those people who already know, they will know the meaning og the abbreviation as soon as they see it. At least thats my reason.;)

People are only getting fussy because of the title of the thread. Had it have been named: Characters Demise and Resurections. There would have been no concern nor endless amounts of people with the same posts saying "Lets get rid of these types of threads" Seriously, I know your annoyed but no need to repeat the same point over and over.
On the subject, I would really like to see Natla back and I'm not particularly bothered about Amanda and Rutland, if they come back then I'd like them to be some sort of cover for some better more evil villains. Amanda is too weak and forgiving to be a mainstream villian in future games, Natla has the potential to be a whole hearted villian and Rutland is really just a pawn in Amanda's schemes.

For me, the acronyms are becoming very grating!!! It's not like you can instantly figure the meaning of each thread out...It's just becoming annoying that I have to open a thread, one which I may not have; if the thread had been labelled properly, just to see what it's about. Conversely I may miss out on a great thread, due to it being retardedly acronym-ised :p
Also, the content of some of them leaves a lot to be desired. The "G.R.O."'s I don't mind so much because some contain very valid talking points e.g. GROWL. But now people are abbreviating things like NICB,RND and KARN which is plain retarded....some are statements for chrissakes!!!
Its like the popular thing to do is make up and acronym for your thread title, and that's plain silly imo.

Don't be. Don't take people too seriously on here. They all like to vent somewhere, I defended you because I don't think it's right that everyone should suddenly spam a thread because of the thread title, hence my post above.
Just try to get back on topic and everyone will eventually calm down.

Natla- I think she'd be too farfetched of a return unless she could somehow reassemble her particles and bits of body that were squished and/or exploded.
Rutland- Was he even really a villain? He just seemed like a stupid person who popped up everywhere and made things annoying for Lara. Nothing special, I don't care about seeing him again.
Amanda- If done right, yes. She seemed really whiny in TRL, bring her back with a better personality.

Crystals Natla has plenty of story left in her, so it'd be a shame not to see her return.
I like Amanda, but as you said, don't want her to try and fill the villian role. It'd be cool to see her being manipulated by Natla in some way....
