I have a problem with TR II. After playing 10-15 minutes the screen freezes. Ive been playing TR II (and all the other TR games) on this system for a very long time without any problems. All drivers are up to date and DirectX is the latest (from June 2008).. I have tried to go back to old drivers for my Nvidia 7600 GT.. same result

Its an allmost fresh instalation of XP and everything else is running as it should..

Any sugestions?

I have a Diagnose.exe report but i don think you get more out of it that i did....

Please... im in the middle of the TR II challenge and i would like to be able to finish it.... HELP

Nevertheless, run the latest version of Diagnose.exe (http://www.tombraiderhub.com/download/diagnose.exe) and post the report. We'll decide then if we can get anything out of it :mis:

1. Downgrade video drivers to version 84.21 (http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_84.21.html)

2. Have you installed Multipatcher (http://www.tombraiderchronicles.com/vista/patch.html)? Seems not. Better do it.

If this won't help:

1. Get rid of CD emulation software (drive R:)

2. You have hell of a heap of drives, remap one CD/DVD-drive to letter D: and run TR2 having TR2 CD in it.

3. Update audio drivers also.

Besides... run ARDiag.exe (http://www.tombraiderhub.com/download/ardiag.exe) and post the report, some application may cause TR to hang.

Didnt install Multipatcher as i only have TR II installed. But i did install the update for TR II ( the same that is in the multipatcher)

Sorry i know you want to help but the CD emulation software has nothing to do with it. Its the display that freezes. And also i did buy Alcohol just to be free of cd's spinning all the time. Also the configuration (soft and hardware) has not changed for the last year or so and in that time i think i have played TR II 3-4 times without any problem. Acctually i did a total reinstall of XP just 14 days ago to see if that changed anyting.. it didnt..

The audio drivers are the latest.. i know they are old but both audiocards ARE old and not supported anymore.

The problem is in my graphics card and i will try to downgrade the drivers to 84. I did downgrade to V93 but that didnt help...
