Tomb Raider #15 in Game.

I was in Game yesterday and they had a leaflet for the top #30 "Best Games As Voted By You."

Tomb Raider came out at number 15. Not too bad I guess but kinda disappointing. I didn't pick up a copy to get the rest of the list but if anyone is near a Game and can get one to post that'd be nice.
Just thought I'd share it with yous.

Too true, Verd. ;) Seeing as it was an "as voted for by you" poll, it's probable that something like COD4 or GTAIV was on the top spot.

i think it should've been a lot higher seeing as Lara and Tomb raider paved the way for so many other games, i suppose the younger generations (whom i assume may have voted mostly in this poll) wouldn't be exposed to Tomb raider 1 either??:(

I was saying that it's #15 finish is invariably irrelevant to an individual gamer. His particular list is all that matters. Any individual or group can compile a list. It has meaning only to those who grant it any.

That's what I think. Tomb Raider essentially is the modern third person shooter. It laid a lot of the groundwork for future games, and because it was so popular up until AOD, it was really influential. I do think that for modern players however, it no longer holds such a vaunted position, but being at number 15 in this chart demonstrates that is still a popular and beloved game, in my opinion.

I think that is actually good I mean it is an old game and looks what it had to compete with halo, cod4, especaiily wow I am surprised it isn't #1 basically all the super hyped games of today.

Final Fantasy VII seems to go a long way although i prefere VIII and i find it much better.

Tomb Raider has done great and with the upcoming release of underworld it may go down to 10 depending on how it is! :D

I really think tomb raider will continue a long way, well at least until a remake of TR3 has been completed but then there is the new games in between that also.

TR1, i believe, will go a long way, i may even think there could be another remake of it on ps3 but dealing with the mistakes they made on TRA like taking rooms and classical features of the game out.
