Will the clothes get ripped by trees, plants, animals etc?
And will her skin be cut by claws of animals and gutshots etc?
Good idea, Crystal might have already have thought of that. :)
If the boxart is anything to go by, she may suffer some small visible injuries during the game. :tmb:

If it happens, it should be too much blood in the game, I haven't listened the podcast about blood so I am not sure. But there was a cut and some blood on Lara in a picture, I will send if I can find. :)

well there was also some artwork from early legend (http://www.tombraiderchronicles.com/images/tombraiderlegend_edition_prints/screen3.jpg) where her cloths were ripped, but then that didn't happen.
to be sure you'll just have to wait for some official info and/or ingame pics showing that.

From what i've heard already it would seem possible. She interacts with the environment so it would seem logical that her clothing could become torn on vegetation and natural surroundings. :)
Just curious though: Why is this important to you? Not asking in an ill spirited way just in a curious way is all. :confused:

It's good to keep in mind when you look at trailers, renders, even opening themes, that what you see therein isn't exactly what you'll get. Much like the hamburger pictures in menus.

Highly unlikely, the game would never get a teen rating let alone a 16+ unless you want to see cuts with no blood, which would look ridiculous. What is shown on a render has nothing to do with what might happen in the game.
I don't think it's impossible to see rips in her clothing. As long as it's not torn over her breast or asscrack then I can completely see it being in the game.
And realistically guys, CD would NOT have her get "cut up" and such with bruises and little blood. Sorry, they just can't... sadly. :cool:
But, what they can do is put dirt marks and such over so she still looks like she's been through ****.:whi:

But yeah back to the point :p. I agree, unless they don't want a T rating (which they do), that system is too much for Lara. I do remember reading in an article back in January that she will at least push away all the bushes and stuff, but I hope she gets scratches and stuff and not just the dirt all over her body to replace scratches/cuts/bruises (a.k.a. Legend and Anniversary). And also CD, please make the dirt/mud/slime (etc.) effect the part of her body that actually TOUCHES it, and not suddenly appear all over her face and chest when her foot touches it. :D

These are just ways that CD can make it real w/o making it look (so people keep calling it) slutty, *cough, coughm u*. Like you were complaing about the gorgous dress in TRL, and thought it was slutty, psh. This is a way CD can make it w/o having to rip her crotch, or breast or something. I wouldn't really care wherever they ripped personally, but they would have to b/c of annoying people who thinks its "wrong" or "inapropiate" seriously people, grow up.

no u complained about the dress saying it was more than disgusting and slutty, which it wasn't. It was elegant and very sleak. and yes, CD are doing other things, but doing this will make the realsim even greater. I'm all for it!
i think that her clothes will only get dirty and sweaty. i dont think that they will rip.
because then, players will purposely let a jaguar attack Lara in the hope of her shirt getting ripped enough to see her bra. i dont want Lara to get all bruised and cut up. but it would be intereting if there were small holes or tears.
Let it be slutty, lara is not some vestal virgin, someone to put on a pedistal.

If she does get little cuts it wouldn't be rlly unrealistic to have them fade over time. Unless they are semi-permanent, which I don't think they are capable of doing.

They can make certain places only rip. And like I had said earlier. They can make the system rip her gloves or part of her boots. So, yeah.

It is a good idea, but I don't think CD will implement it in TRU, maybe in the next one. If they were going to they would have promoted it by now with the dirt and wet affects they bragged.

I think they need to be concerned that her skin doesn't look plasticy (yet again!) first and foremost. I noticed that in a lot of screenshots from Thailand it's not looking especially realistic at all.
However, if they solve that...cuts and bruises would be sweet! Wait until we get so many details that blood is dripping down slowly...
well, Lara would be all cut up and unreconizable if they did. maybe scrapes, and bruises, but not so much that she looks like a beat up housewife.

I think this would be a neat touch. I mean, especially if it had an effect on her energy levels. For example, if you didn't tread carefully enough, she'd get cuts and bumps on her knees and legs. This would slow her down. Could also mean she doesn't jump as far as she normally could. This sort of thing would be perfect for the hardcore gamer. You'd have to be extra careful to take good care of yourself as you were travelling through a level. Otherwise you might find yourself searching for a medi pack, or resting for long periods before you had the strength and energy needed to make a big jump.
I think that would be a sweet addition, certainly for future TR games, if not this one.

I agree with her clothes fraying at the edges and stuff, also getting cut by thorns and maybe grazes from falling from quite high places! i dont mind a few tears on clothes but, lara isnt a slut.

I've wanted this to be in TRU for the longest time. They really need to apply this to Tomb Raider Underworld and future games. The game would be a whole lot more realistic. And for the people who keep saying that it wold show her panties and braw etc. and that would be wrong, blah blah blah. CD is capable of puting this rip and tare feature only in some place on Lara's body. I.E. boots, bottoms of her pants, gloves, etc. They can make it w/o being perverted. So, why is anyone complaining about it. I'm all in for it 100%. Do it CD! :)

When I think of Lara's clothes ripping, I do not think anything of that sort. I think of that concept art from Ghana, then one where her hair is loose and she shooting at something (what is she shooting at though, seriously? A bird?). Anyone got a screen of that?
Basically, it's just little snags here and there on her sleeves. Nothing more, but it adds some atmosphere.
