Hi,

I'm technically quite inept, and have just downloaded FRAPS so i can take screenshots.

Seem to have downloaded it on to pc ok, but not sure how i make it work, I know there is a hot key (F10) to capture shots, i've tried using this hotkey whilst in game, previously opening fraps, but nothing seems to happen.

also after opening fraps i can't seem to minimise it, it just goes away???

sorry if these are very noobish questions:o

Well, If you pressed F10 Ingame, the screenshots should go to C:\Fraps by default :p

I changed destination to my pics, but they are not there either!

Is this the bestway to take screenshots (never dunnit before) or is there an easier way???

Read THIS (http://www.tombraiderforums.com/showthread.php?t=64487) :) IrfanView is better IMO for taking screenshots... and it's FREE.

1. What game are you talking about?

2. What folder did you configure for placing shots in?

3. What hotkey did you assign for taking shots?

4. What file format did you choose for the shots?

Generally you can take a screenshot of Irfan screencapturing settings (with Print Screen > Paint) and post it here :)

1. I'm trying to take screenshots in tombraider, but would also like to be able to take them in other games from the TR series.

2. The destination directory is C:\Temp\

3. CTRL + F9

4. BMP windows bitmap

I can't see how I print screen > Paint

^
1. Don't use CTRL in hotkey combo, as it's one of the control keys in game. Set it F11 or F12.

2. Save to JPG format.

I can't see how I print screen > Paint

1. Press Print Screen.
2. Open Paint editor.
3. Select Edit > Paste.
4. Save the file as JPG and post it here.

Ok think I have worked out the printscreen thing, and i've managed to paste a pic of screen capture settings on Irfanview

I have tried adjusting the settings you recommended but it still doesn't work. I've changed destination folder to my pictures.

You need to set the hotkey: F10 or F11 or F12.

Let me look on your TR1 settings - run Diagnose.exe (http://www.tombraiderhub.com/download/diagnose.exe) and post the report.

Sorry if this is too much info. i've got hotkey as F11

^ This:

Option 2: VDD Mode Disabled (ATI cards only)

Now this is important!!! So pay attention. dgVoodoo can be started in two modes. Normally it starts up in VDD mode, but this is a problem for ATI Radeon graphic cards. They will either crash the application or can even reboot the PC when you try and run Tomb Raider. So make sure you tick the box Disable dgVoodoo VDD Mode if you have an ATI card. If this option is selected, an additional Information dialog is displayed by the Installer and Desktop Shortcut Icon for Disable VDD Mode is created.

Double Click on Disable VDD Mode and the Server Process is started (Leave it on the screen). Now double click on the Tomb Raider icon and the game will start. Once you have finished playing TR you can dismiss the Server Process by clicking on the Close button. It is recommended that you tick the option to create a Desktop Icon as this will launch Tomb Raider with VDMSound. ONLY tick setup dgVoodoo if you understand how this program works.
