Pointless thread, but I just thought I'd share this little story with you.

When I was 4 years old, my Dad bought Tomb Raider Gold.
I didn't play it of course, but my big sister and my dad did and I watched in awe as this blocky, triangular breasted woman threw herself around our windows 95 monitor.

I began to really care for lara as my sister and I continued the adventure (My dad told me recently I used to cry in horror when Lara was attacked by a bear).

My sister never completed TR1 but she did complete TR2 (with the help of a guide).

Now, 10 years later, I'm 14 and have become a bit of a whizz kid with computers and I got Tomb Raider Working on our Windows XP.

I was ecstatic, as I had attempted this before unsuccessfully, earlier this year, but now....

YAY!!!

For me, it was as if a new Tomb Rader had just been released! lol

^ You bet!

have fun playing TR.

Just don't use magnums until atlantis, they will make things WAY easier ;)

Plus by then, you willl have saved up enough ammo, hopefully, to make it through the end...

A thread like this is not pointless ;)

Very good to hear your experience, and TR 1 is really something :)

I enjoyed reading your personal history, and it's a good illustration of how people of different ages react to the games. Yeah, that damn bear appears out of nowhere!

So have you played the rest of the series or do you have that to look forward to? If you have the rest of the series to play, good luck and I hope you enjoy it.:D

Completing AoD and Legend are an accomplishment that amazes me........after that you can complete any game, no matter how bad they are :D

But yes, TR1 has something that cannot be found in other games. It becomes part of you for some strange reason, after playing it.

I got TR1 when i was 5, I used to play lara's house alot because the actual game scared the living daylights out of me. Im still a little scared of those mummies *shivers*. But the torso boss was just cute.

Hehe...well I was around the same age as you and I didn't even play croft manor because I was scared that the suits of armour at the end of the halls would come alive.....or move......*shivers*

Lock him in the freezer. I figured that out pretty quickly after getting TR2 for my 6th birthday.
