When i start my Tomb Raider 1-game with glidos, the word 'glidos' is turning around above Lara constantly and it doesn't go away. How can i get rid of it?

You have to buy the full version of Glidos to remove it. See here: http://www.glidos.net/purchase.html?lang=en

Really?! Is there no other way to remove it? Because the first level i played, the 'GLIDOS' wasn't there

Nope, you have to pay. And yeah, it doesn't show on the first level I believe (as a trial phase), and the after that it will appear.

You can always use dgvoodoo, it's free and does the same basic thing...

I doubt it. I don't know that program. But Glidos are textures specifically designed to make TR1 look better. And I doubt that that program has fully new designed textures.

A few bucks isn't going to ruin your day. Gildos is pretty dang good product.

But it does what it's designed for - runs TR1 under XP in Hardware rendering mode... and for FREE :mis:

Absolutly agree. The extra texture packs AND the updated audio is well worth the money!

Personally I never got it to work, at first I just thought it was because I had Vista, but now I have XP and it still crashes everytime I try to start it.

I don't even bother to make it work (I don't really care about the packs), dgvoodoo works perfect for what I want - which is to play TR1.

Glidos never worked for my ati and nvidia. Even tho I followed instructions. But voodoo
works and I don't need hr packs. Tr1 has its atmosphere because of its 12 years old textures :)

Did you try using a combo of glidos and vdos32? I know I had a heck of a time trying to figure it out.

Cough...

Use THIS (http://www.tombraiderhub.com/faq/traudio.html) guide to burn a mixed-mode TR1 CD, but instead of tracks mentioned, use THOSE (http://www.tombraiderhub.com/faq/download/esc/tr1audio.zip) and instead of original tomb.exe use THIS (http://www.tombraiderhub.com/download/temp/TR1patch.zip) - this package contains all TR1 music from PS. Thus you can hear it playing either with Glidos, or DgVoodoo+VDMSound :tmb:

I just don't think it's worth it wasting so much time and patience to put Glidos to work AND pay for that, with dgvoodoo available.

The problem is that dgvoodoo stopped working for me after three levels. There's not very much support for dgvoodoo online either. Therefore why I recomended paying the few bucks for Gildos which worked great for me.
