My favorite part is when he said, "but nothing you would directly compare to another (TR) game". :) Thanks for posting this Shennen. :tmb: :D

Tomb Raider Underworld is the first time it’s been developed for next gen systems and current gen systems and what we were trying to set out to do was create an even more epic adventure.
So Lara’s going around the world in search of/ trying to uncover the proof behind the existence of an ancient myth and some of these locations around the world take her to the Mediterranean sea, the coast of Thailand and as part of that adventure she’s going to be diving down into the water and uncovering some new locations. One of the things we really wanted to do was add more believability to Lara Croft, and one of the design philosophies we had was called ‘What could Lara do?’ What you’d expect her to do in real life; she should be able to do in the game and this is the first time she’s been motion captured so we’re able to really show-case her abilities as an acrobat and gymnast. Tomb Raider’s always kind of followed its own path and we do take the similar control schemes to previous tomb raider games, but nothing you would directly compare to another game.
One of the biggest things you’re going to notice is that the environment itself is actually a character within the game. Each environment is epic multi-staged puzzles and really and environmental playground. You walk in, you can do pretty much anything, you can navigate around, explore different types of architecture, there’s not one set path you have to follow, the player can choose to move around the environment and solve puzzles in the order that they want to do.
Tomb raider is unique in the sense that it has a nice fine balance of exploration, puzzle solving and combat. I’m excited about the story, the epic scale of the environments and being able to do things with Lara that I’ve always wanted to do but was never able to do in the past. Tomb raider’s going to be coming out on November the 18th on Playstation 3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii, DS and ps2. It’s going to be an awesome experience and we hope everybody loves it.
transcript, nothing that new, he didn't talk very well though.
