The Teaser Trailer FMV. If in game. Where do you want it?

Okay, so I'm sure by now, that everyone has seen the tesaer trailer to TRU. My question is. If this FMV is going to be actually in the game. At what point in the game do you think it'll be?

I think it'll show either somewhere in the beginning, right before she goes off on her journey. Or at the very end, pointing out that she is finished for now with Tomb Raiding. You thought/ideas. :)

I'm not sure... I think they could start it with the FMV. But then again, it might be something that happens later on in the game...

I doubt they would have this at the end... and I was going to say because it provokes a lot of questions, but I realised just now that we've seen this before we know what ticked her off.

TR9 could be the conclusion.

And, IMO, this is the PERFECT leadup to TR9 if it's the trilogy conclusion.

Don't forget the fact that the trailer was shown in reverse (at least most of it was). Could be foreshadowing that the first trailer is in fact the ending to the game. ;) :D

i was under the impression that this was in the beginning of the game. it makes alot of sense. burning her past, letting it go. a deeper, darker and fresh beginning.

Couple of levels in. That way before you play any levels the manor is intact to visit, but after that level the manor is damaged when you go to it.

I'm 99.9% sure it's not at the beginning, but somewhere in the middle. CD have said many times that the game starts out sunny, bright, and light-hearted, but gets darker, edgier, and scarier as the story progresses, and this scene is definitely not light-hearted.

The one with the dinosaurs etc! She jumps and shots like mad with her pistols.

If you stay long enough at the Title screen you shall see. This may be the same with TRU! So it may not apply during the game at all, probs just there so, then you won't be playing croft manor. Otherwise you'll think, how come we cannot play Croft Manor, well this Trailer shows why!

I think there could be one more after this to complete the supposed trilogy. After all, all the qs from AOD were, in the end, answered and in TRL the last cutscene itself was called 'Answers Breed Questions'...

IMO this should go at the end, it has been released as a teaser because it doesn't reveal anything which could be known without the whole game bieng played beforehand. It teases us without revealing the entire game.

Also it would feel wierd and wrong for Lara to START the game like this because:

A. This would theoretically follow straight on from the ending of TRL where she was all happy and satified and in no mood to fill her beloved ancestral home with explosives and blow it up!

and

B. I can't imagine that (unless it's on of those 'flashforwards' to the future which CD said there wouldn't be in TRU) you would go straight on to the first level after this and carry on through the game knowing that Lara is probably mentally disturbed because we have not been previously told (before the beggining) of any reason for her to do this.

But the game should END this way because:

A. We may have a better understanding of Lara's motives by then and therefore it would be even more moving.

B. After this outburst it would only seem right for Lara to walk mysteriously into the distance in a shroud of mystery.

C. CD would put it here to leave yet more unanswered qs and therefore build momentum toward the next game, increasing publicity.

But in TRA you did actually play the dino bit, and also many non-hardcore tomb raiders wouldn't necessarily watch this trailer and so might indeed go 'WTH can I play Croft Manor?'

I agree. This will probably happen in the game, but I imagine the cutscene will be rendered using the game engine, as with both Legend and Anniversary.

Yeah it would seem so, but the wetsuit she wears in Underworld has yellow stripes and long sleeves on, the one in the FMV does not.

I think they should use it at the beginning as a flashback, like in TRU. And then start the right game. Then there should be the tutorial in the complete manor, then go to Med. Sea. Would be a perfect start for a Tomb Raider Game.

I actually don't like fmv's in games that much anymore, i'd rather all cinematics be in-game type stuff. Maybe just show lara blow-up the manor instead of the whole reverse thing. If it is in the game though, i think it should go at the very beginning.

I can't tell where exactly, only not in the begining, because I'll have to train my butt off to "master" Lara's new moves!
But that's very clear - that the manor will be available in the begining of the game.
I'm mainly asking myself why is Lara blowing up her manor?
If she's faking her death - why is she doing it?
