Great, fast-paced film. Although it would've worked better without the twist, as I felt the last half hour was rather dull. And I would've preferred more of it to be filmed during night time (I think it makes city films much more atmospheric. :p)

"But for one moment, one shining moment... she was the most important woman in the whole wide universe."

I meant the whole "i dont want to go back" it reminded me so much of Buffy's "I'll never forget" in Angel.
I don't think any other companion was as well matched. They were both so common.

PotC: The Curse of the Black Pearl
For like...the 10th time? :vlol:
Btw, was it ever explained in the next two exactly why Bill Turner's blood would lift the curse?
Bill's blood would lift the curse because he was the only one left out of the original bunch of pirates who took a piece of the gold.
Once he gave his bit of the treasure back (Elizabeth's) along with his blood ('price to pay') then the curse would be lifted, because the rest of the crew had already put their pieces of gold back, along with some of their blood.

Can't really put into words how much I love the story in these episodes. I wonder when we'll see more of River Song, though? I doubt it'll be with new young Doctor Matt Smith, probably with the next one - but her (re)entrance into the series will hail the start of a whole new exciting era in the series.
I believe that will be the main story arc of Steven Moffat, and I think it'll only properly begin after the next Doctor has regenerated.
IceColdLaraCroft
07-01-09, 19:12
I don't know if we will see her again. She told our Dr. "you're so young" so it could be many doctors from now. Next season is only 4 episodes (this year) before the new Dr. comes on and I think he'll either barely keep the show going or it will end with him again.
I'm watching Star Trek: Voyager- The Omega Directive
Seven of Nine Finds Perfection comes in small packages.
She told our Dr. "you're so young"
That's why I think Matt Smith will last one season, then regenerate into someone a bit older than Tennant.
Matt's series will likely do pretty well.
The 4 specials will no doubt do very well, Tennant's last one next christmas will draw a massive audience, and when the next proper series returns it'll likely get a big audience from the interest in the new doctor, the new writer, and because it will have been around 2 years since the last proper series.
After that, it gets harder to guess. :D

9. Home

I'm really loving it! Home was all kinds of awesome, and then Scarecrow was like an old slasher film! The main plot is really building up now, and there's obviously something sinister about Meg - you know, considering she cut open a guy's throat and poured the blood into a chalice.

Willow did the same thing to bambi and she wasn't evil when she did it...she was evil later when her lesbian lover was shot dead and she went power mad until the Yellow Crayon, but she got better.

Ah, but she did it to bring Buffy back to life, so I think it was justified (sort of). Meg just slit the guy's throat open and seemed to enjoy it, poured his blood into a chalice and then started speaking to it... the blood was bubbling and everything.

Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind
The West Wing Season 1
Episode 4 ~ Five Votes Down
Episode 5 ~ The Crackpots and These Women
I know! And talk about "Darkness Falls" and "Shapes" while watching "Wendigo" :p.
Anyway "Faith" really reminded me of "Miracle Man" from season 1 :)
They've totally stolen stuff from The X Files... :vlol: Anyway...
Supernatural - Season 1, episodes 14-22.
14. Nightmare
15. The Benders
16. Shadow
17. Hell House
18. Something Wicked
19. Provenance
20. Dead Man's Blood
21. Salvation
22. Devil's Trap
Oh my God - what a cliffhanger! I'm really liking the show, though. It does have its flaws, but it's still a gripping and involving show. Although 'The Benders' was such a blatant rip off of 'Home' from The X Files.
Can't wait to start Season 2 soon. :jmp:

10. Love & Monsters
11. Fear Her
12. Army of Ghosts
13. Doomsday

I LOVED that film! :vlol: So dark and demented! Such a great choice to cast Reece Shearsmith alongside Andy Serkis and Jennifer Ellison!
J.E used to be a main character in a soap over here called Brookside when she was a teenager. Her character in The Cottage is blatantly and uncensored version of that same character.
Screaming and shouting scouse obscenities at Tubbs (http://www.bbcresources.com/images/costume/late_20th/the_league_of_gentlemen_PU.jpg) and Gollum (http://ffmedia.ign.com/filmforce/image/andyserkis-suit-gollum15.jpg).

I´ve seen it 5 times already and I can´t get enough! It´s like Severance only much much better!
What I love is that it´s so unpredictable... I mean I sure did not expect to see certain person die in such a gruesome and mean spirited way! Seriously I literally stopped laughing for a moment because it sent really cold chill down my spine :D.
I also loved the setup when they made Jennifer´s character the scariest thing in the movie. The scene where her brother looks at her through the keyhole and she looks at him with that cheesy horror music cue was superb :vlol:
