I like it a lot. Cate Blanchett is an awesome actress, but I like the touching story of being in contact with the dead, and the "thrilling" climax to the story was great too. Sam Raimi's best film if you ask me. Forget the Grudge, that sucked. It lacked emotion, unlike this movie. With great performances from Giovanni Ribisi and Cate herself.

So unoriginal and glued together from 10 other horror movies but it still packs an incredible punch and direction/camerawork is excellent. Another horror gem from Norway (Along woth Willmark and both Cold Preys).

Also is it just me or is the music at the start of the trailer the "Road leads to nowhere" song from original Last House on the Left?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it is.

Though I don't think the song is called "And the Road Leads to Nowhere," a common misconception. I think it's simply called "Intro/Opening Credits," on the soundtrack, but the line does appear in several of the film's songs.

Not sure. I do remember him talking about the upbeat song that plays during the gang's drive.

Yeah, it certainly is a great song (and I'm glad it plays over the menus.) I don't really understand the criticism the soundtrack gets. Fair enough, most of it is out of place, but in my opinion, the music on its own is fine. The one piece of music I think fits the film perfectly is what plays when Phyllis is slowly stalked then slaughtered, and the "heart-beat" that proceeds it as she jogs through the woods.

Brilliant, brilliant and hilarious film, very much recommended.
I'm so watching this. And not only because I'm dying to hear Hugh Laurie as an evil Cockroach!

Supernatural S04E17 : "It's A Terrible Life"

That was one interesting episode. I really liked it! :tmb:
I really liked it, too, but I'm not so sure about the ending. I mean, they aren't really going to resolve Dean's whole emotional arc with a "suck it up, and stop whining", are they?

Btw, about Blindness (sorry, I just saw your post!)...It's a hate it or love it movie, I think. I liked it and I also want to read the book.
