Halloween II (2009) [Director's Cut]

Well this was quite a suprise, I thought this was a lot better than its predecessor, that being said, there are still a lot of problems. I don't get why they are trying to humanize Michael, Carpenter wrote him to be almost like a force of nature, I find that much scarier than some nut running around who seriously needs a wash and a haircut.

Rob Zombie learned from the previous movie, thank god there was no rape scene or full on sex scene, however, the amount of blood he thinks that comes flying out a human body when stabbed a few times is quite the joke, there is one scene where the entire walls of a room are literally stained red.

Michael's face being on-screen numerous times...I don't even have to clarify this point, again, he looked like some hillbilly with a stick up his ass. At one point he steps out from behind a tree...this wouldn't be a problem, but this Myers is 7ft and is built like a tank, I literally laughed out loud at the thought that a tiny garden tree could conceal this giant.

Again, Rob Zombie shows complete ignorance in the art of tension, it's all grab and slash here.

That being said, the character development was done quite well, however I found myself being quite irritated at Laurie, at certain points I was hoping for Michael to walk by and split her jaw in half. I liked the original idea of having Laurie as the killer and all of this happening inside her mind, which was played on partly.

Danielle Harris was excellent in her role, actually made you feel sympathetic towards her character and Brad Dourif (the voice of Chucky) was particularly impressive in one scene, I find his voice to be quite iconic and capable of expression many emotions (the Childs Play series has some of this).

The Director's Cut ending was great, gave closure to the whole thing, I read about the theatrical ending online and I much prefer this one, the theatrical one seems kind of cliché.

All in all, it was okay, better than I was expecting. But I think Zombie is done with Michael Myers now, thankfully.

Went to the Uni cinema to see (500) days of summer, because my flatmate wanted to go. Wasn't actually that girly and and awful- I found it quite funny actually. Plus, Zooey Deschenel isn't as depressing and boring as she makes out and doesn't exactly look like a brick, so that was nice too.

Fairly good episode, but I think that the thing with Helen having been on the Titanic was a little bit too much.
Ep.09: Penance
Now, I would be lying if I said I wasn't waiting for that episode. Michael Shanks and Amanda Tapping in the same place again is not something I'd miss. I liked how they connected his character's past to Kate's. My only regret is that he died, but I guess it was his penance.

The Wrestler.

You know, I read the novella ages ago, then the movie came out. I loved it.

Recently on a car trip I pulled Four Seasons back out and re-read the story. I was fascinating to see how they had changed the story without changing the story. And how much original text wound up in the film. It's simply brilliant writing.

I saw 2 movies today at the cinema(yes,2 xD)
One was Paranormal Activity,and it's really cool but the end is really poor.Also,it seems to be "inspired" on REC,a great spanish horror movie.
In other hand,I saw Låt den rätte komma in.It's a vampyr films and trust me,I do kknow about vampires(I have read Dracula and tons of books from Anne Rice,also know the mythology very deeply)and this is a major film.Lovely,really sweet and emocional.The best movie about vampires I saw in my entire life,absolutely beautiful.

2012...gotta say the plot was terrible. Good graphics but terrible plot. The scene with the president's daughter and that doc, urgh it just feels too forced and out of place. And the ending is just terrible.

I'm loving Season 2! My favourite episodes so far are; Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things, No Exit, Croatoan, Playthings, Roadkill. All of those (Mainly Roadkill) definitely give me that...feeling, so to speak, that two brothers in the middle of nowhere fighting evil, how Supernatural should be.

I'm going to watch Heart now. :)

I definitely recommend it, I'm sick too, so I am cuddled up in bad watching Disney films, it make me feel better. I am planning on watching Cinerella & Sleeping Beauty next.:D

Wow! Another two fantastic episodes! Can't really fault them apart from the fact that they, Stop-Loss in particular, feel a little rushed! The Attic had such a brilliant twist at the end that, even though I kinda saw it coming was played out really well! Can't wait for the last 3 episodes!<3

- I think someone at the Dollhouse is a fan of the GaGa. Bad Romance was featured in Stop Loss, while Just Dance appeared in s01e01! :D

- I find it incredibly weird that Joss isn't listed as a writer for the series finale! Even though he may not be showrunner...he usually writes the final episode of the season/series of his shows :/

TBH, I don't know why CW cancelled this show. It isn't really that bad. I mean Melrose Place 09' is worse and it's still on. Oh well, glad new episodes are being put on Youtube. Hopefully it continues, this is something to keep me occupied till' Gossip Girl or Glee (Oh how I miss GLEE so much!)

I watched this film about these killer dogs on an island... lol all I'll say is wruff the feck happened there!!

Michelle Rodriguez was the lead in it and she said something like:

"Oh man we gotta get out'a here, THESE DOGS ARE SMART!!!" :vlol:

Most ham fisted movie I've seen in a long while, the dogs weren't scary and these upper class college mooks were so insanely stupid!!

Seriously I cried it was so painful... and the ending was just obvious wruff!!

I'll never look at a dog in the same way again
