I was able to make sense of Inception with relative ease.
But this... was just a mess. I mean, I stopped trying to understand it around the time Salt was revealed as a triple agent. And then her superior was revealed as a double agent and he double crossed her so she double crossed him and then something happened and I'm like "Wait, what?". Turns out everyone is an orphan raised in Russia to overthrow the American govenment or... something. This movie is basically about double agents triple-crossing quadruple agents.
Or do I have it wrong? I dunno, I'm still trying to wrap my head around this all. Wow. Seriously.
No you got it right. The script was just an absurd mess.
Anyway I just watched The Hills Have Eyes (1977) and The Hills Have Eyes (2006).

The original kinda looses it in the 3rd act but everything before it is perfectly fine. The last time I´ve seen these movies was in 2006 when I watched the original before heading to the cinema to see the remake. Love both movies to bits.

^^Great film, really loved the performances from Broderick, Washington and of course Freeman.
http://seagalology.com/img/movies/undersiege.jpg
An action classic, if I ever become a professional screenwriter THIS is the sort of movie I want to write. Fast-paced enough that you can ignore the plot holes and filled with great action sequences (including a stunning close-up knife fight between the hero and villain) it's a quintessential action flick. That, plus Erika Eleniak in her prime and topless-which was rather awkward because my Mum was watching the film with us and protested. Also, it is Steven Seagal's only good film, and it's sad that he threw away his potential as a legit 90s action hero like Bruce Willis because of his ego and weight gain. The direction by Andrew Davis, of The Fugitive fame, is tight and kinetic, as such the movie doesn't feel as cliched as it really is. Top it all off with a great psycho performance from Tommy Lee Jones, who is one good actor who can do "unhinged maniac" very well. I wish he was the Joker, and not Two-Face.

Watched it again for the first time in years and years, still on my Disney Renaissance high. While it is an overly-romanticised and nigh inaccurate retelling of the original legend, it was very absorbing and enjoyable. The artwork is great, the characters feel real enough and the music simply entrancing. However I am upset that they removed what I feel is the best scene, from the original theatrical release. I watched it on the basic DVD which didn't include this scene (it was reinstated in the special edition)
Z_ZBBicoY_c
An intesne and tender Disney love song that the young test audience probably couldn't fully grasp at the time. It's a real pity, but I'm so glad I can find it on YouTube.

Wow, I don't remember that scene at all :S
It's beautiful!

It's so damn confusing
I'm glad you find my opinion funny. I didn't say he was the greatest actor of all time, I just said he was extremely good. Have you seen Keith to judge his acting? :)
No: .....(this is all just based on my natural assumption)
i only laughed, becasue you said that Jesse McCartney (who i only thought was a singer, and not an actor) was an "Extremely Good actor." i also mentioned that i would consider Penelope Cruz and Angelina Jolie as "Extremely Good actors;" so my association to JMc being as good actors as PC or AJ, that made me LOL. but, we prolly dont use the same Acting Scale to rate individual actors on the same level.
he might be a good actor; hell, I would gave given my life as collateral to guess that Mo'Nique would never be nominated for even a Golden Globe; yet, she won a whole Oscar, and some other prestigious awards; and i would consider her role in Precious as one of my favorites by an actress.
that would have just been my natural assumption, as with Jesse McCartney as being an "Extremely Good actor."
also, mostly cuz singers who become actors arent generally that successful in today's generation; and vice-versa.

Jesse McCartney has been acting for quite awhile, he's been in a lot of films, shows, & even has done voice acting for video games. He's done more acting than he has albums. When I say "extremely good actor" I mean they aren't "horrible" or "ok". Angie is an "amazing" actress, which is better than "extremely good" for me. I don't like when people assume because someone sings they can't act. Has it ever occurred to you that someone might have more than one talent? He writes his own songs and songs for others, he sings, and he acts. It's not impossible to be good at all of those. You should actually watch the film and judge it from that, instead of judging his acting because he sings.

i didnt associate him with Acting (as ive never heard of him acted in anything before.) i looked at his acting credits, adn the only things i recognized were Alvin and the Chipmunks, Kingdom hearts, Hoton hears a Who!, and the Tinkerbell movies (all voice over); and a guest appearance on Law and Orders. the other stuff, im guessing was all straight to DVD or TV movies.
well, im not going to apologize for offending you, cuz it wasnt like it was directed at you specifically :/
its all just my natural assumption.

I liked a lot of the stories in season 1 better, but there was more character development on the 2nd (a little too much, in a way). I hope following seasons are more balanced.
That's pretty accurate actually. :p But it's a very well built movie.

I know, some episodes were amazing, my favourites being "The Measure of a Man" and "Q Who".
I just wish there was more balance between character development and a good plot to serve as background for it. Some episodes had really crappy stories just as excuses to develop the characters, for example "Manhunt" or "The Dauphin". I don't mind character development, but without a good background plot it feels contrived.

Possession-esque films usually don't have that much of an effect on me, but since you seemed to enjoy it, and we have similar taste. I'm definitely going to give this a go!

The Final Destination - Pretty crap to be honest. The deaths were pretty boring except the one where the guy was being dragged along the road on fire (o how i laughed) I know i have problems shh :p The first film and the third film are my favourites.
The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus - Amazing film. I didnt know what to expect at first then ended up loving it. Alot of great actors in the film aswell.
Case 39 - One of the reasons i wanted to watch this film was because Renee Zellweger was in it :p The film was pretty good but nothing amazing. The little girl was very sinister played by the amazing Jodelle Ferland. Overall a decent film with a few jumps :D
