Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows pt 1; I'd forgotten most of the original plot (in the book), but I enjoyed the film very much, I really felt the emotions & the feeling that they're on the run. Though I thought the dancing scene was a waste of screen time :whi:

I guess that´s Sam Raimi´s style... whole cinema was dying with laughter during that scene but I do understand it may unnerve some people :D. Have you seen the unrated or the threatrical version? The threatrical plays more for the laughs while unrated just cuts right to the over the top blood splatter.

Theatrical -- I mean, I don't mind gore but sometimes its too much :(
Be glad you haven´t seen the unrated version. They cut the "Here kitty kitty" scene all together and instead show Christine hystericaly screaming and stabbing the kitty (it´s off screen but you hear it) and over the top blood splatters are flying everywhere. I mean it´s still played for laughs but if you´re a big animal lover you´re gonnahate Christine from that point on :p

Really good documentary film.:tmb: Bill Hicks was a great American patriot but sadly never got the recognition he deserved in his homeland. It was only when he started performing in Britain that people seemed to get the "joke". After playing various small comedy clubs in America for years he almost intsantly started selling out large theatres in the UK.
He was very outspoken on subjects such as US politics, philosophy, religion, recreational drug use, conspiracy theories and consumerism.
A lot of his material was very powerful. Near the end of the film he talks about the handling of the Waco siege in 1993 where 72 men, women and children lost their lives. Really shocking what happened there.:(
It was just as Hicks seemed on the verge of a commercial breakthrough in America, that he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and died on February 24, 1994 at just 32.

It sounds cliché, I know, but this film is beautiful. Coincidentally, a UK Blu-ray release was announced the day after I re-watched it.
TV : Dirty Pretty Things http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dirty_Pretty_Things_(film)
A Stephen Frears film, with Chiwetel Ejiofor and Audrey Tautou.
And others - I liked Sergi López as "Sneaky" (in German Dub : "the weasel") :D
I did not like Tautou too much back then in "Amélie", or rather the incredible hype about the film and her. It was not that special, not that different from other (French) movies of that time.
But now with every other film I see her in, I like her more and more.
And that Chiwetel Ejiofor, he is just good. I just wish I knew who spoke his German voice. :(
A bit serious to watch it so late night.
Most astonishing - they did not interrupt it for commercials.

Couldn't agree more way better than Half Blood Prince, the death of a "certain character" was handled way better in the book than it was in the movie and the romance side story was stupid although ron weasley's scenes were funny.

Tuvok I understand,

you have just gone without,

It's really nice to see how Clark discoveres his powers, learns how to control them, and falls in love in the process.

My first impression from the trailer was that it will be a huge snoozefest (much like my first impression with Tangled/Rapunzel). However I was surprised, it was actually good and commendable, especially in 3D.

Unstoppable. I wasn't sure I'd like it as I thought it would be too action-based, but it was left simpler and felt almost docu-style due to being inspired by true events. Soo good to see a happy conclusion too.

Great aliens, conceptually, and action - but the film was pants. Not to mention that ending.
It seemed like more of an exercise in graphical capability than a decent story. It would have been much better if they'd made the audience give a damn about any of the characters!
Supernatural S06E10 - Almost made me forget about that horrible piece of **** the previous episode was :tmb:
