I don't think it is,
I used to think it WAS her and she was destroying the mansion because she found out a dark secret about her parents, but she just seems to happy and emotionless to be doing the demolition.
This person seems like she is trying to kill whomever is inside, not just destroy the manor.

To be true, some explanatory notes that this couldn't be Lara sound possible to me... but although I'm sure this must be Lara, because I really can't image CD would make a trailer for Tomb Raider without showing Lara. This doesn't make any sense to me.
I really wish people would stop saying "No doubt about it." People can doubt about it, as there are chances that it isn't Lara (See Conway's thread).

I can't really say because we'll find out when the game is released. But I'm pretty sure it's Lara. I voted 'not sure' because I think it is not the 'real' Lara, as in she's been affected by something. I don't think she's possessed, though.

I voted yes cause I am hoping its Lara. Lara blowing up her own manor is controversial, where as someone else doing so is something we've seen around in movies and TV series. Someone blowing up another person's car, house, office, apartment as in Prison break season1).

It's Lara. She has the ponytail, the twin guns with her, the holsters. Although most of us agree that she is Lara, some desagree and say it isn't. Well the thing is we don't know Lara anymore since Legend. Her clothes are different, not her style but then again we don't know her anymore. But again she has one of those outfits that are short, she definitly never found a longer shirt. The face is recognisable, but seems a bit plastic it's different from the models we saw so here the ones who desagree might be right. However there seems to be some kinda of nostalgic felling in that face...
I'm now remembering of a line that appeared in a magazine from Amanda, something about "she needs to get over herself like" Needs to get over this. Probably she didn't found her mother, or found something about her parents. Something that disturbed her. That's why Amanda says that, won't you agree ? But says that to who ? Rutland ? Since he's now alive. Lara probably didn't get over the situation, she did that to her house because of her parents, she found something about them or she knows their both dead and her adventures for trying to find them were in vain. She possibly couldn't stand that and decided to forget her past starting with the manor. Just a theory :tea:

I chose. I'm not too sure yet. B/c I'm going with everyone's theories. Plus whether it's Lara or not, I'm still going to play the game. I mean seriously. I could care less who was in the TEASER. But yeah, I'm going with all theories.
1). It is Lara > It could be Lara faking her own death, or she found out something about her father that lead her to believe her entire life was all based on lies, etc. BUT I'm confused here as well. B/C if the reason was one of those, I'm sure Lara would have a tear, or a frown or some other face besides and EVIL GRIN whilst blowing up all of her memories and collections. So, IDK. Also, it may be her, b/c CD clearly said that TRU will be much darker, and Lara WILL in fact get VERY ANGRY!. God knows what about, but will just have to wait and see.
2). It's a possessed Lara > I mean, seriously people, face it. As t has been said many times. Lara will be going to several UNDERWORLDS!!!!! She may accidently get possessed by some unknown spirit, you never know.
3). Someone else (i.e Amanda) > I mean, IDK why this is being blown away too. B/C Amanda did have the power to SHAPESHIFT! Into the unkonwn entity in TRL, so, you can't exactly blow this theory yet either. She may have found some way to transform again. And I'll say it again. WHEN PEOPLE TRANSFORM. THEY DON'T look the way they once were, duh, (ie Amandas tattoos, etc.) Plus the clothes Lara or whoever she was was wearing were very much like Amandas, ( ie. Gothy looking, tight, dark ,etc.)
All in all I really would like it to be Lara with some MAJOR plot twist. But even if it isn't , I think it's really stupid for whoever said they wouldn't play it. It's like get over it. As long as the game is fun and has a really strange twist, it'll be even more fun. So there is my theories on this Teaser.

In the first teaser trailer, it would be crazy to NOT have our heroine in it.
Plus, we don't know anything about the storyline or plot of the game, so how could anybody say Lara wouldn't do that?

What if you had some memories of a place where a family used to live, and a day they die, days later you find they did bad buisness, dark stuff, they hurted people, they terrorized them, etc. You would feel that all that time you didn't even know them. What would you do to try to forget your past ? Leave the house and go away and having dreams at night about still leaving in a home with strangers ? Or sell the house ? Well many people have their personal reactions to certain situations, Lara had her own way of forgetting her past, starting with the manor. Of course I'm not suggesting that her parents did the same thing i said, just an example.

I think one thing that made me question it was that she didnt look anything like the renders or even past renders. And that outfit with the leotard thing just really threw me off. I still dont like it and well, she looks child-ish almost in this CGI version of her. Her face just looks strange but I guess it could be the lighting. :o

I'm sticking with the theory that she's faking her own death, or something like that. I think she left a pair of her pistols there, one of her trademarks, so that people would have no doubt that she's dead. But then there's all these other things in the trailer that make me doubt that, the discarding of the evidence, for one thing. Why would she just drop the detonator? It's something that would have her prints all over it. Unless Lara really does go mad and blows up the manor while Zip and Allister are inside, sleeping soundly...but, sadly, I don't want to get my hopes up about that one. :p

All I can say is that the woman in the trailer had better be my Lara <3 I would be depressed if they went with such a stupid twist of having it Amanda... (my opinion of course)....
If Lara was possessed, I would be okay with it.
But still.... something has gotten Lara really angry... and that's what I'm going with.
I seriously doubt they would make this a guessing game. No Tomb Raider has ever had such a complex, movie-look storyline... well... AOD to a certain extent.
I'm gradually parting from the 'Faking own death' theory. Mainly because:
1. The lack of body inside would reveal she wasn't there when it exploded.
2. She has two other houses, is she really going to blow them up too?
3. The detonator outside would imply whoever blew it up, was outside at the time.
I'm leaning more towards the 'containing' who/whatever is inside theory. Whether that be an ancient evil monster/creature/spirit, or something along the lines of a viral outbreak.

1. The lack of body inside would reveal she wasn't there when it exploded.
2. She has two other houses, is she really going to blow them up too?
3. The detonator outside would imply whoever blew it up, was outside at the time.
I'm leaning more towards the 'containing' who/whatever is inside theory. Whether that be an ancient evil monster/creature/spirit, or something along the lines of a viral outbreak.
I was thinking that maybe Amanda was in the house, and that Lara would pretend dead Amanda was her (with changed dental records)... :D

I'm gradually parting from the 'Faking own death' theory. Mainly because:

Yeah, those are some other reasons that make me doubt that she is faking her death, but really...that's the only one that makes sense to me at the moment.
The whole blowing up her home to contain something or find something in there sounds really, really cliché to me. Someone suggested that an entrance to an underworld is there and it just made me want to smack someone. Would an entrance to an underworld really be in Lara's home? God, I hope not. I would really be angry with CD if they chose that path. It just...I absolutely hate whenever they do that in any type of entertainment, whether it be movies, books, games or anything like that. It's like they want it to be a big shock, but it's just so overdone it's more like "Really? That's all you could come up with?"
I don't want the reason for Lara to blow up her own home because something is under there or something is hidden there. I want it to be because she's ****ing ****ed and I want it to be a monumental moment for her character, something that will change her forever.
