He wanted to kill Lara himself and he didn't really like the other guy anyway, so he had no problems killing the other guy just to make sure he would get to Lara first. Luckily for Lara, that backfired :whi:

Edit: If you have unlocked their bios in the extras section, it explains why they hate each other. I can't remember very clearly myself, otherwise I'd just say it here.

Kid and his gang attempted to mug/rob Natla of her limo and Kold (her bodyguard) killed them all except for Kid. Natla knew that Kid had knowledge on criminals/mobsters and took him in as another henchmen. Kid stills holds a grudge for what happened to his fallen comrades thus explaining why they turned against each other in Natla's Mines. :)

Yeah, it really didn't make much since to stop Kid from killing Lara. But it all worked out for Lara.
