When I open it, everything is fine. When I import any video, say WMV, a few seconds after importing is done, it freezes and the Send Error report message comes up and terminates the program. I heard this is a common problem and I don't know how to fix it. I'm using Windows XP SP2.

Thanks. :)

Edit: Actually, I'm not positive that it's WMM2. :o

Firstly, try re-installing it and ensure that you have the latest version. Look HERE (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/updates/moviemaker2.mspx) for information. Check the Windows Update (http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/) site to see if there are any updates for it.

The truth is, Windows Movie Maker is a very unreliable software. I advise you not to use it at all! If you are serious about movie editing i reccomend buying something like Sony Vegas. Or at least downloading the trial

Windows Maker is unreliable because it's free, it's not like problems cannot be fixed. I'd rather use WMM that buying a program or trying very limited trials. Thanks anyway.

^ 1. How much RAM do you have?

2. How much free space do you have on System drive and on the drive your project is compiled to?

3. How large are the initial videos?

You don't understand, It's not my problem, I don't know how to explain it.
It happens with every single video I import, I don't know what's wrong.

^ Can you simply answer the questions :mis:
And don't become hyper, because TRF is not my only business in this life - it takes time to return to some issues :p
