Hey

I'm looking for a good free script for my website that allows visitors to upload file(s) to the server.

Does anyone know something I can use ?

http://drupal.org/

Drupal is based on PHP and MySQL. So assuming that you have the two of them on your server, I would take a look into using Drupal for that stuff. Open source free scripts for the taking.

Just make sure that you don't allow people to upload files that they could execute on the server and cause damage (such as .php, .asp, .exe).

actually i believe the default for drupal is to only allow files such as images, audio, and video. Other stuff needs to be explicitly allowed (such as zip archives) - this feature can also be assigned per user role.

I'm using Utf now. It's flash based with a maximum of 8MB per file.
It's for my Models Website (http://tombraider3d.110mb.com/) ( continue to upload file ) for the modding section :)

It's still unfinished tho. I'm currently working on a Lara render for the banner :)

lolz... looks like you've some work to do alright. If you need a good place to study up on CSS: http://htmldog.com/reference/cssproperties/

a site i'm working on: http://umporchestra.heliohost.org - eventually I'm going to need to get around to letting the Orchestra members upload their own content and have the links automatically made. Good luck!
