Have you ever been to a psychiatric ward before? As a matter of fact i have for mental problems. I went to St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie because i had mental problems. And they gave me pills and medication there to control my anger and problems.

Yes, I have because my parents wanted me to.They kind of focred me, and I hated that.I've been to a psychologist first, which seemed like a nice person to talk with, but then they took me to a psychiatrist.That women creeped me out, I didn't like her at all.I remember it was very embarrassing, there was no chance I'd open up to her.I'm sure it didn't help me at all, quite the opposite.

Why did they force you? did you get in trouble? I was at the psych ward 15 months ago may 2007.

No, they were just worried and annoyed about my behaviour.I was obsessed with correctness and truth.I didn't know what happened to me either, it was as if a part of my brain turned eveil and tried to torment me.It was a difficult stage of growing from a child into a teenager, I didn't want to change phisically or mentally.I still think they didn't make the best choice, though I know they were trying to help.

I haven't been to a psychiatric ward. Although I had appointments with psychiatrists for years.

A long lost school buddy, this goth girl, got thrown in one. When she got out she told me what it was like and we laughed the hell out of it. :D

"Insane" people are the only really sane ones. :)

Ive never been to one but there used to be one called St Matthews near where i live and ive heard alot of terrible things used to happen there.

I think most of its been demolished now.

Well the one i've been to was St. Francis and it's about 15 miles north of where i live poughkeepsie in dutchess county NY state. Well i live in the beacon fishkill glenham area not poughkeepsie where st. francis is.
