It also works great in DOS 6.22. That's how I sometimes play it on one older DOS/Windows 3.1 system I have. It is an ancient 486, DX4-100 PC.

Otherwise I play it on a an XP machine using Glidos. I cannot imagine why anyone would not purchase Glidos. It's cheap, it simplifies the setup process on modern machines and it allows you to utilize the fantastic high resolution graphics. (http://www.tombraiderxtra.com/).

I know what DosBox is, I have tried it and it works pretty well for some old games, not so good for others. It's better to play DOS games on, well, DOS...:D

DosBOX is a solution for Linux and Vista x64.

You need to have the original TR1 CD [mounted] to play!

Under XP/Vista x86 better use Glidos or TRAI+VDMSound (http://www.tombraiderhub.com/faq/tr1.html) (FREE).

And don't bump/doublepost please!

Although I've abandoned Ubuntu Linux, I still admire their philosophy. Software should be free! (As in free beer and freedom) pirating is a big NO though.

I'm gonna try that out, thanks.

I wish all the mods in TRF are like you :)
