- Lara now has a mobile phone, which contains the new "Help on Demand" hint system, which you can access, when you require a solution for a puzzle.
hey, i was just thinking, won't her phone run out of signal??? like in high altitude places such as on high mountains and in the sea :P
or is it like my mum said "a super-duper mobile phone"
sorry if there a thread already like this but i checked b4 i made it.
i think her mobile is a great idea btw, im not complaining!

Could be a satelite one , as the one used in Jurassic park 3 :D . I won't use it anyway .

I have a fear Lara is turning a little too realistic. She doesn't need a mobile phone to go Tomb Raiding, it doesn't seem right. As long as you don't HAVE to use it I'm fine.

After that, copy the properties, then type this out, without spaces:

Well. It was said before that the "hint on demand"-system will be accessible with her PDA. So I guess the writer of the article which said mobile simply mistook the PDA for a mobile. It would be silly to take her mobile into the jungle. She has her headset to "phone" Z&A (:() and she has her PDA for all those sonar-map help-on-demand-whatever-crap...

I think it's a better system - Lara's journal separated her thoughts from your own, which created a sense of detachment. The mobile phone is an admission that you/Lara are stuck and need help. Plus, CD have already established Zip and Alister and the phone seems like a fine compromise in terms of continuity and keeping them quiet at the player's discretion.

Ahh another "Bond-ish" feature that can pushed to the side. But I wonder will the camera feature be on this thing too like a real cell phone? And is this where they were talking about how Lara can take images and upload them somewhere? And the player and look at it online? Im not sure if this feature is neccessary. Whats next filming a vid with her phone and being able to watch that online too?;)

I'm not overly fussed either way about this whole mobile phone idea. To be honest, a phone makes slightly more sense than the PDA, since whe could use it to contact people when in the field. Perhaps the PDA/camera/phone/sonar-ping-thingy will all actually be the same gadget?
In terms of charging, perhaps it charges kinetically, like her PLS? Or perhaps it has a solar panel? Or maybe it just has a REEEEEEALLY high-capacity battery? (now have image of Lara running around with a car battery in her backpack connected to a mobile :vlol:)

No, she is actually going to have a mobile phone. It's going to function more like the PDA but according to reports it's supposed to be a help-on-demand type feature and will actually be useful. :wve:

:vlol: The thing about phone reminded me somehow the first TR movie, where Lara calls to that bad guy, I think Paul was his name. Just imagine as Lara is asking a bad guy for his phone number, just to call him and tease him, that she has that artifact he wants. :D

I don't get this about her having a talking cell phone. In TRA I was able to basically figure out where to go next and if I could not, oh well. I was either stuck until I could figure it out or come here and peak at the walkthrough.
