How to overclock my cpu.
I want an easy method for this purpose, not a headeche.

I am currently running Core 2 Duo E2180 with D945GCNL x16 , 1 gb667 kingston Ram and MSI NX8600GT.

I really need a trouble free method for OC.:)

There is no such thing as trouble free overclocking :P

Try raising the FSB 1:1 ratio and set it at 333mhz in order to have memory running 667mhz, cpu will run 9x333mhz= 3.0ghz

Going from 200mhz to 333mhz, will allow you to have your CPU @ 3ghz, it probably won't need any vCore increment. If you have vCore set on Auto, try to set it to 1,3v in order to keep temperatures low (vCore on Auto may sometimes put 1,5v to the CPU, which causes high unnecessary temperatures)

I think you will not get any higher than this, chipset 945 is not the best for OC, but you will pass from 1,8ghz to 3ghz, quite a good improvement :)

In all honesty, if you're asking on TRF how to "trouble free" overclock your CPU, you've clearly not done much research and run a high risk of getting lots of trouble out of this.
