I just watched this video on youtube. It is really interesting ! It show some Japanese bees, huge bees, that attack Europeen bees.
You will understand how the Europeen bees can kill this monster ! It's really impressive !

I've done some research and they said a single Japanese bees can kill 40 "normal" bees per minute ! Holy crap ! Their sting mesure 1/4 " (6 cm). Also, around 40 people die each years because of them, I don't want to see that thing !

Those are Japanese hornets, not bees! :p
An allergic human stung by the giant hornet may die from an allergic reaction to the venom. The venom contains a neurotoxin called mandaratoxin which can be lethal to people who are not allergic if the dose is sufficient. Between 20 and 40 people die each year in Japan after being stung by giant hornets.
Besides it's venom contains at least 8 chemicals, some damage tissue, others cause pain, and at least one acts as an odor that calls more hornets.
The bees can support higher temperatures than the hornets, hence why they kill them with the heat. Their stings are ineffective against the hornets, and the bees developed that technique as a defence.
They kill the bees to feed. Since the adult wasps can't digest solid proteins, they attack bees hives to take their larvae, and feed those to their own larvae. The hornets larvae will then turn the bees larvae into a liquid that the adult hornets can digest.
These hornets are very fascinating, as much as they are dangerous.

I genuinely found that interesting. I wonder if the European bees are smart enough to learn that tactic in the future and that way adapt to their environment in Japan. And those Japanese bees are pretty smart and impressive, working together for 15 minutes to kill just 1 of those big bees.

don't mean to burst your bubble but they do sting... the males don't. AND not only can they sting, but their stingers are not barbed so they can sting you over and over again!
