Whilst looking for updates on Cassini's current mission to Saturn, I came upon this image: NASA's Cassini spacecraft took this true color mosaic of Jupiter, the most detailed global color portrait of the planet ever produced. The smallest visible features are approximately 60 kilometers (37 miles) across. Although Cassini's camera can see more colors than humans can, Jupiter's colors in this new view appear very close to the way the human eye would see them.

Wow that is amazing! I didn't know that Cassini's camera can see more colors than a human. The pic looks cool. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Cassini is due to visit Phoebe (one of Saturn's 31 moons) on June 11th, and enter orbit on July 1st.

Here is a recent postcard from Cassini on her approach trajectory.

I cannot honestly recommend a visit to Jupiter. Owing to the rapid speed of it's rotation, coupled with it's immense gravitational pull, you would be puree on arrival! :(
