Hi everyone,

I recently got Tomb Raider Legend, direct from Steam. And looking around all these modded Lara's, I really want to have a go. I've downloaded TexMod but I can't find where the program files for the game are located. Does anyone know where to find the files if I downloaded the game directly from Steam; or if it's even possible at all. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks. :)

It's fully legal
No-CD patches modify the game code, which is illegal by itself (unless it's released by the legal owner of the code, which isn't the case). Besides, they encourage piracy, so we do not support those discussions here.

Now, like SailorTaurus said, you should be able to select the application is in Program Files, Steam, Steam Apps, Common, and then Tomb Raider Legend but I'm not sure TexMod works with the Steam version. In this case, you might want to use Tomb Ripper (http://www.tombraiderhub.com/tr7/modding/tutorial.html).

In my opinion it is safer to mod for the disk versions of the games.

Do you have a "steam" or "valve" library on your disc? I'm not totally positive but if you downloaded and installed it from steam the dirstructure would look the same as with the original game. Look for a tombraider directory under your steam or valve directory. Texmod should work since it's only hooks the games instructions to graphiccard and replaces some (in this case textures). You only need to point it to the games exe-file. I can't imagine you have to download the tra.exe everytime you need to play the game so it should be there somewhere.

You can find both legend and anniversarygames on steam. Then you probably can use texmod to try out different mods on tombraiderhub. If that's what you mean?

no : i talk about game mod not the game

i am idiot: i didn't understand the thread....:o
the problem here is Beowlzeboss have to launch steam to play
so he can't use software like text mod etc..

i have the solution for him but it's not legal (even he gots legally the game) ....

OK. I don't know exactly how valve and steam works. I wish Beowlzeboss good luck though. :)

It's impossible to use Texmod with the Steam version of TRL/TRA unless you use the method I mentioned (which has now been deleted).

It's the ONLY way. Period.

mind me asking what is a stream is it free
steam not 'stream'
if you like buy Sin episodes, HALF LIFE 2 episodes etc.. you need steam to play with it (even you got the box game!) to activate the game or to download it
it's like playStation network or the XBOX LIVE but for PC.
so, you buy the box game (the software steam is included) or you buy for the downloading
steam (http://store.steampowered.com/)
