Blue Screen of Death

Hi,

I was watching a DVD when a blue screen appeared stating that windows has to shut down in order to prevent damage. I ve already figured out what this blue screen problem is but I am also interested in what exactly caused it. How can I retrieve the error message so that I could check what exactly it means?

Can you post here the exact message? Write it down when occurs, then post it here, so we could tell you what causes the issue.

It appeared only for a few seconds and after that windows shut down. I was totally suprised so that I did not have the time to write the error message down. All I know is that it was one of the blue screen errors. Should this occur again, I`ll try to put it down immediately since it looks like I can`t retrieve it subsequently.

if you have a camera that can take a good quality image (video or still is fine) please capture that and host it somewhere OTHER than youtube. (no likey the crap quality there OR the waiting for verification).

otherwise, keep your eyes glued to the screen and try to get the infos from the screen... read it first (as much as you can) THEN write it down... dont try to go back and forth with it.


edit: oops... i forgot this was a problem with the DVD playback.. not a problem with the computer not booting right
