Greetings y'all :)

I am considering buying a new laptop. So can someone perhaps suggest some specifications required to play the latest TR game, for example? I would like to use the laptop also for games.
So, again, I'll need a good laptop yet not too expensive (nothing more than $1300).
Also, any specific brands? I think I fell in love with a VAIO :D

If I were to buy a new laptop, it wouldn't be a Vaio, even though they are very nice laptops. Or an XPS. Or an Alienware. It would be a Toshiba. Perhaps the Satellite product line. The reason being that the price/performance is a little more reasonable.

I did see a perfect Toshiba one. What about HP?

While they've got decent prices, I have had enough negative experiences with Packard Bell and later Hewlett Packard to not even consider them for any purchases. Since its been several years since I've touched anything made by them, I can't say for sure.

Yes for ASUS (I'll look for an exact config).

Definite nope for HP - they also have very clumsy support service.

Seconded.

HP has HORRIBLE customer service.

Go with ASUS; never had a bad ASUS product EVER!

Check THIS (http://www.asuslaptop.co.uk/proddetail.php?prod=Asus_Laptop_M51SE-AP055C) one, Adam. Meets your budget IMO :)

The Gaming series (http://www.asuslaptop.co.uk/products.php?cat=56) is a blast, but expensive... You still can buy THIS (http://www.asuslaptop.co.uk/proddetail.php?prod=Asus_Laptop_G1SN-AK014C) one from G series :tmb:
