Cool, thanks for the heads up Alex. :tmb:
You're welcome. I loved the first game, I can't wait for the continuation. And I'm excited by this future new ability. :)

It was good, but it was just more repetitive than pacman and tetris.

The first game was so boring! I like it at first but i ended up burning the game in my garden ^^

Finally, swimming. God I was like WTF when a master assassin died when he went into water. The first was good, albeit mind-numbinly tedious in points with fugly character models and bad lip-sync.

The first one was okay, I traded it in though. I'm not so sure about a second one, I'm sure there aware of the problems with the first game but I'll look into it.

Yay! We're gonna party like it's '96!
Swimming? Good. The lack of swimming annoyed the heck out of me in AC.

I couldn't undestand why he wasn't able to swim. Anyway , a lot more of things need to be changed for me to play another A.C.
Thanks for the info Alex Fly :)
Good game,but if on 2008 a game character can't swim......:D
Great...a second one...more rubbish...

my thoughts exactly... blehh
Somehow I enjoyed following the creation process more than actually playing it uhm..
I couldn't undestand why he wasn't able to swim.
I'm guessing that being weighed down by a ton of weaponry didn't help. :p
Still, nice to see that he can perform such a...groundbreaking...act this time around. :D
^ that's pretty much why he couldn't swim. His armor was pretty heavy >.>

It's not that easy to swim, but for a trained asasen he must have trained that at least.
The first game was not as good as I hoped, so I'm not sure if I care about the sequel. :o Didn't even finish it anyway. :p yet.
I sure hopethey dont make the same mistakes in the continuation as in the 1st game... :whi:
I do hope that for AC2, they're thinking along the lines of "What could Altair do?"
He should be able to:
Swim
Wall jump (a-la Mario/Lara/Free Runners)
Swing on things other than poles, like ropes
Do his cool dive move whenever/wherever - not just into hay
Affect the environment to create new pathways
//
Interact with more people
Include shops/stores - buy weapons. That would fit perfectly into AC.
Pickpocket money. Not very honourable, but hey - who cares.
Go INSIDE more buildings.
Day/night cycle.

So TR:U + Oblivion = AC2? :D

Yes! AC had the most boring story and cutscenes I've ever experienced in a game. :hea:
and dont forget the boring repeating lame tasks .... and the end of the game that feels rather like the power went off and thats why you stopped playing then actually finishing the game
In my eyes AC was the YET ANOTHER game that made huge promices, we got huuuuge espectations... and when you finally ahve it in your hands... iyou start wondering - how can people be SO STUPID!? *flashback of the SPORE accident*
So TR:U + Oblivion = AC2? :D
....Nice.

True, it's not executed in a very interesting way - though I found the concept of what was actually going on (and still is in the year 2012) absolutely fascinating. Once you figure out what's happening, the end (and what you learn on the computers) really captivated me, and hooked me for AC2. :D
Yes. Very good suggestions. I'd also like to make the cutscenes less interactive. You can not do much in the cutscenes anyway and I'd just like to have cool camera views and so on in the cutscenes. And I'd like to be able to rewatch them (re!WATCH! not play).
And I'd like to be able to talk to people (like in RPGs). And perhaps to have like...hiding places. I mean not only those reappaering ones from the first game. I mean that you have like friends (or something like that) in every city that let you hide in their house or sth.
And I'd like to wallrun in AC (although I think I've done it at some point in the game but everytime I try to do it again it doesn't work).
And for the story: I'd like to know more about Desmond. And I'd like to be more in the present/future and play with him (Not only walking. Also the things that Altair does).
memories in the genes? Come on! :p
Day/night cycle.
This is must be! mmm imagine towns during the night cycle..
Ooh - also, have the option to sail any of those little boats you find in the canals! If they're feeling adventurous, why not sail one of those BIG boats in the harbours, from one city to another?
Actually memory doesn't need much to be held; a simple example is a water molecule, its ever changing structure :p
....you lost me as a listener in the very second I saw the word 'molecule'
:p

Ahhhh u is fast! didn't manage to remove that non-interesting part fast enough :p
OMG Bwuahahahah !
I can't wait for this :D, I was hooked on AC2 after the end of AC.. I mean, OMG :p! Simply amazing.

It's about time! I was sick of him drowning and not even trying to swim. :vlol:
I want screeeeeeeeeens! :p
I wonder how the story is going to be like, I mean, they already got that artifact that I can't remember the name right now, and all those writtings on the wall with the date of the "end of the world".

I can already tell you the new game will take place in Italy during the Renaissance if you didn't know it yet. :)
We don't know a lot of informations about the upcoming game apart this one, we know they're improving Altaïr and giving him new abilities, and they take all their time to make the game as good as possible.
Italy? That's nice! So, if it's going to be in another place and another time, I wonder if Desmond won't be the one to use the Animus anymore.

Wow! :)

:eek:Amazing!:jmp:
Can't wait for the next one.The first one was simply awesome.I loved the oh-so confusing storyline and the characters(except Altair, his voice was so boring, but Desmond rocks!:D)
I also hope to see Lucy again.....[spolah!]or play as her[/spoilah!]:cln::yah:
Have any PC gamers modded AC? I've always wondered how Sith-like Altair would look if his outfit was black.
Hummm, Italy and Renaissance sounds very nice . If they change the boring repetitive thing and increase the A.I. of the enemies I might change my mind and play it. I will wait and see .
The only thing I really liked about AC was killing civilians, messing with the guards and the free climbing. :D
I hope AC2 is good. :p

So, the whole game then. ;)

The missions which involved killing civilians (after beating them up), messing/killing the guards, and free running? :p

I guess you're right. :p xD
Great information. :tmb:
I loved the first game. I know it's very repetitive but I judge it with rose tinted glasses because it was my first 360 game. :o
I loved the first one as well despite its repetitive nature. I'm a sucker for climbing and jumping and exploring and this sucked me good :D.

Yes. AC is actually modable with TexMod (the Dx9 version). I'm not sure if there has been a black outfit. You should look at the official Ubisoft forums.

Cool, I'll have a look. :tmb: I don't know why I care though to be honest - my PC can't run AC anyway. :(

One of the first PS3 games I want. Just for those reasons. But I might have problems getting it because of A.) If I get a PS3 and B.) If my mother ever approves :o
*Gets distant look* *Imagines self playing AC*
Altair (aka me): *Kills guards stealthily.* :mis: *Eventually, one guard falls from a rooftop, causing the civilians to have a mass panic.*
Me:*shrugs* Wasn't me. :whi:
*Guards chase me all around city.*
Me: :D:cln:
*Hides in wagon full of hay and while the silly people think I left.*
*Jumps out.*
Me: AGAIN! :jmp:
Seriously, I just love games where you can faff about and do whatever you want. :p

Altaïr / Desmond's french voice is absolutely perfect. It fits him perfectly. It's the same voice they use as Johnny Depp's french voice in his films. So sexy... :cln: :p
I can't wait until we finally get to break out and play properly as Desmond! :D Possibly in AC2...? More likely as part of AC3..

Lol!:p
I really like Desmond's english voice,maybe because it's Nathan Drake's voice.:eek::jmp::D
I don't like his voice in the spanish version , but doesn't bother me much when playing hehehe .
I'll surely get my hands on this one, that is if the civilians and guards aren't so suspicious.
From the moment you bump into someone somewhat roughly they immediately go insane like they're being murdered and then those guards try and get you for the billionth time. I wonder why they still don't know who I am :pi:
I mean the game had some issues, but I enjoyed it. The sequel has some definite potential if it irons out some the first game's issues. The assassinations and ensuing chases were awesome though. I'm a little bit surprised we'll be using Altair again. Thought they'd go in a different direction, you know Desmond or a different time period then Altair's. As for him not swimming. Wasn't really a big deal to me. I mean how often did you actually fall in the water, a couple times.
@Alex Fly: This whole thing with Italy and the Renaissance is just speculation right. Not confirmed. Also, would that mean we would play in that period and with Altair in the Middle Ages (surely Altair in the Renaissance makes no sense)? Just curious about what you found out. Thanks.
Assassin's Creed 2!! :jmp:
Altaïr just got a few animations closer to Lara...

An Assassin's Creed in present days would be awesome! :cln: Although it could look a bit like Mirror's Edge with all the climbing, etc.
