Hi, I plan to buy a laptop soon. Can anyone reccomend me one? I don't really want it for gaming (although, I do love The Sims 2). Mainly I need one with a lot of memory since I will have a lot of music on it. Also, what Internet would be good for it?

Thanks if you can help :)

What sort of budget do you have?

What do you mean by "What internet would be good for it?" ?

BT Broadband! ...and I'm not sure whether it determines the modem on the speed?
Like mine for example is 11mbps, is it affected by what type of modem you have?

You'll need to spend a bit more for THIS (http://www.asuslaptop.co.uk/proddetail.php?prod=Asus_Laptop_X70L-7S063C) one, but you won't spend it for nothing :tmb:

Any current network card is capable of handling speeds that are faster than you generally get from your ISP. It matters not what your hardware is in that regard but rather what your ISP speeds are (dialup is exception though).

That is a v good laptop and I would be willing to spend more to get it if I decide to. Do you have it yourself?
