View Full Version : Question about TRU on PC
So......what version of directx is it using ? And will it be vista exclusive becouse of that ? or will it be like cryses with dx 10 and 9.
If it is Vista only I'll have to pass....i aint installing that garbage becouse of a game. :( Guess I'll have to buy the 360 version if that happens, since i'm going that line eventually...
WHAT??? Vista exclusive?!?!?!?! Is that.... a possibility??????
I hadn't even thought of that! If it is I won't buy it.
Impossible to be Vista exclusive. The only reason for it to be Vista exclusive would be the use of DirectX 10, and they're using only Dx9 in Underworld. ;)
Somewhere in the forums jaywalker said TRU is for both XP and Vista :)

For TRU no. But Halo 2 for PC and Alan Wake say hello :wve:
Although each "Vista only" game has been cracked to run on XP using DX9c.

It's a good thing I don't care for that. :p But I hadn't even thought that this might be more and more common. I hate Vista so that's a huge problem for me. Glad it's not happening with TRU though!
The game is Dx9c.. this however doesnt make the game any lesser hardcore graphic wise.. Just means using `Dx9` libraries to do the fancy stuff (which fully supports XP etc) rather then upping the minimum spec to Vista etc..

theres no need to worry about upgrading your computer for tomb raider underworld, it works on XP perfectly and you need to install direct X 9 aswell.
I have vista so i'm alright with underworld, the only thing i need changes to is the video card.
