View Full Version : What are the updated WADs?

I'm currently downloading TRLE and the Win XP Enhanced EXE from http://www.tombraiderchronicles.com/tr5/editor/trle.html in order to be able to play a fixed TR4 version which allows for visible uzis and revolvers in Lara's holsters. I've noticed that there are some WADs available, but I'm not sure what they contain. Do I need to download those as well in order to get the fixed version working?

Probably l missed something but what does the Level Editor have to do with playing Tomb Raider 4, l always thought the uzi's and revolvers looked perfectly visible.

l will move this to the technical help section where hopefully someone will be able to help you out.

White Rabbit, please explain your issue in details (screenshots are welcome). What do you have now (w/o the patches/updates)?

Run Diagnose.exe (http://www.tombraiderhub.com/download/diagnose.exe) and post the report.

When you put the uzis or revolver (pistols excepted) back into Lara's holsters, they are invisible, and the holsters are shown as empty:
http://img243.imageshack.us/img243/1418/emptyholsterssr4.th.jpg (http://img243.imageshack.us/my.php?image=emptyholsterssr4.jpg)http://img243.imageshack.us/images/thpix.gif (http://g.imageshack.us/thpix.php)

I thought it was a bug, and it is, but it turns out everyone else has this bug too: http://www.tombraiderforums.com/showthread.php?t=53093&highlight=holster
I don't believe it's something exclusively to do with my version of TR4.

Then I saw this (http://www.tombraiderforums.com/showpost.php?p=693717&postcount=15) post. I downloaded the Win XP version of TRLE yesterday, but haven't been able to get it to play with the official levels, only the example levels supplied with TRLE, and the same bug exists in those levels too.

I guess my original question is not fully relevant anymore. Now I don't even know what to ask.. :p

Can you post this anyway:

Run Diagnose.exe (http://www.tombraiderhub.com/download/diagnose.exe) and post the report.

Ah I'm sorry White Rabbit but that fix is not meant for the original game of Tomb Raider 4. This fix is made with TREP and is meant for the editor for custom levels. This exe file is not able to run the original game.

i noticed this during my first play thru of the game, but later on they do show up, and are showing now.....i wondered about this. I am glad to know it is a bug and not some problem with my install alone.
