Hi guys:wve:.

I made this thread to just send a civil, polite message out to everyone.

I'm finding it very inconceivable that some of the PC gamers are extremely unhappy that the PC demo is being delayed. I feel that CD is really doing its best to give us a demo that we can not only enjoy fully, but also download quickly.

Look at the XBox 360 demo - 1.3Gb! The PC demo used to be 2.51Gb, according to Jaywalker. The X360 downloads go pretty fast, relatively, but I'm sure all who've played the demo would have liked it faster, and it's the exact same for PC gamers. We want it downloaded fast. I'm sure no one really wants to sit and stare at the screen waiting for hours on end for the demo to download;).

Furthermore, it's not just the size of the demo, and how long the download will take, but also that we get a good gameplay experience. CD is really trying their hardest to give us a demo we can all enjoy, and honestly, as a personal point of view, I'd rather they take the time to make it worth the wait, rather than rush it out. Who really wants another AoD mishap?

About the PS3 gamers - look at us. We're not getting the demo (as of yet), we're not getting trophies (might change in the future?). We've been waiting for so long, and we have to wait more. Yet, most of us aren't complaining and whining. Yes, when it was first announced that there would be no PS3 demo, we were really angry, but I feel that most of the PS3 community here on TRF.com has really been keeping civil and happy for our X360 fans who have experienced the demo, and are now looking forward to their reviews, feedback, and waiting for the full game to arrive.

Thus, PC gamers, I really feel that you should be more grateful for what's coming your way. You're getting a demo, you might get DLC in the future, and you'll get to experience the new game way ahead of the PS3 crowd, who'll be waiting until Nov 21.

By the side of nowdays' economics one should be happy that there is a PC version at all. :D

Oh what the Hell, its only 3 Days anayway. :jmp:Sorry, but I'm having a hard time having a good attitude about "3 days anyway". Because I was under the impression all this time that we'd be seeing it Today, so I went ahead and took a personal day from work. And now its basically wasted.

What never I have not understood is people who say that they only have a PS3 or XBOX and writes in the forum.
It is assumed that writing in the forum you must have a PC.
Except those who have a very old PC or a laptop, the other can also try the demo, I think

Please don't turn this into another PC-gamer-ranting or argument thread:o.

Thank you for your comments - forums such as these are designed for people to leave their opinions.

I agree with everything you have said in regards to all concerned who are working hard - no one could dispute this fact - however,

I believe that the demo issue and the xBox issue are just plain bad planning - there was/is no reason for any delay in the pc demo, they should have thought of this before and in reality should not have released just one demo but all demo's for all platforms at the same time considering they are making the game for all platforms (I believe) The fact that the first demo is for the xBox just makes it worse. This should have been thought about before hand. As you can see this has caused many to feel left out and marginalised.

This disappointment has only been heightened by the xBox issue - which at the end of the day is all about money and not about the fans.

I will buy the game and I am sure I will enjoy it - but I hate the politics.

I just feel let down - and this is my opinion and nothing else.

Well, I can't really say, that I'm not disappointed, but situation looks to be clear for now, so we have to wait with patience.
It's only three days anyway :)

If CD will use torrent client to download the demo there will be no problem downloading. But we all know that there is no way that any company would use this simply and fast solution. Sad.

It's just the initial reaction towards the disappointment for most.

It was the same when it was made clear PS3 would not be getting a demo, or trophies, and when DLC was announced as Xbox exclusive. It will die down by tomorrow like it always does. :vlol:

Did I say it was your "effing" problem?

The point is, you can't just expect everyone to think its "no big deal" when it is really a massive inconvenience for some people that were planning ahead for it.

Thats the point, it's your problem,if you schedule your life around a demo !
not even the game release but a sneak peek, and now you trying to put the blame of that inconvenience on them,it was your choice to skip work no one forced you to anything, and mind you, i'm not one of those fanbois around here defending eidos or cd, i just think it's pathetic to schedule your life around the release of a demo and then complain, with all due respect.

Yep, totally agree. I would be over the moon if we did get a PS3 demo, but for now I'm content with just seeing 360 gamer's reactions.

I understand what you are saying, but keep in mind that nobody officially stated that the demo would come out today for PC. It's just that people made up theories.

Actually didn't it say on trc under the demo for a while that it would in fact be today? It may have been stated elsewhere as well.
Regardless I essentially agree with the OP, it isn't a huge deal. However, a few hours (for those who it would take that long to download the demo) is a lot less time than several days.
Also I don't think it's a matter of them rushing a demo out to us. I doubt they were unprepared with a demo to release, and I most certainly don't think this can be paralleled to AOD as the OP suggests. Rushing a demo out and rushing a game out after slicing through it are two completely different things. Taking 3 extra days to release a demo in no way reflects their continued efforts on the game, to whatever extent there are any.
In conclusion I am experiencing minor feelings of inconvenience and nothing more.
I will just be that much more excited friday.

Yes na_th_an, with the XBox demo being released today, people would just assume the PC one would be on the same day, as it should be....

Did you notice that you're the only one being agressive and even rude here? I think irjudd didn't exactly insult anyone, he's just frustrated but he wasn't agressive or anything, so I don't get why you have to be so ****ed off about his opinion. A little tolerance would be nice. :ohn:
