Try some of these. I use Zone alarm, Ad-Aware, Spybot and AVG

Zone Alarm Firewall (http://www.zonealarm.com/store/content/home.jsp)

AVG Anti Virus (http://www.grisoft.com/)

Avast Anti Virus (http://www.avast.com/)

Spybot, Anti spyware (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html)

Ad-Aware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download) - Another great Anti-spyware utility.

Install these into your machine to help keep you protected. ( There ARE others too...I am sure someone will be along with their thoughts soon ) :D

OH... do not install more than one anti virus... it may cause compatability problems

EDIT.... oops, Thanks Titanium I forgot to mention those things that you posted below :o

Spybot and Ad-Aware are specially designed for spyware. Use the links Quarry provided and update them, do a full scan and delete what it finds. And re-scan to check the infections are properly gone. If they return, attempt to remove it in safe mode, if that doesnt work either. Post back here and one of our technical experts will be able to assist you. :)

You can use AVAST or AVG, BUT remember those free solutions have lower detection rate and more false positives than Kaspersky Antivirus.

Ya Agree With EscondeR (http://www.tombraiderforums.com/member.php?u=13232). If You Want A Paid AV Then Use KasperSky Or NOD32.

Personally I Not Use Any AntiVirus From 3 Months Cause Of False Positive Issue With Some Special Files. :p Better Remove Virus Your Self. Understand The System Necessary & Unnecessary Process & Services In Advance Level. But From N00B AV & AS Is Always Recommended. :D

1. Not good decission not to use AV at all. You can of course remove viruses yourself, but you need to be signalized that something unusual is happening - therefore firewall and AV are a must. False positives can be eliminated by manipulating Exclusions/Trusted zone lists.

2. Better not mention cracks here :ohn:

I use AVG, and it puts allot of Trojan Horse Virusses in the Virus Vault, does that mean the Virus has been Deleted.

^ Yup, after the predefined period is over, if none action has been taken and the status of file (Infected) hasn't been changed, the item gets deleted from the vault.

^ The best solution found so far is:
Zone Alarm Pro firewall + Kaspersky Antivirus for Windows File Servers.

The routine is:
1. Install ZA Pro, reboot, register.
2. Refer to THIS (http://www.tombraiderforums.com/showthread.php?t=126951) thread to install Server version of Kaspersky under XP Workstation.
