EDIT: Posted BSOD at the end of this post.

At first, hi guys :D I've installed TRU Demo on my pc a couple of days ago and it runned well the first time I played it :P I completed the demo :P
But now every time I load the game and play it for a minute my PC gets a BSOD and then restarts. I've already updated my drivers (as far as I know) and it still crashes. BTW I work at a computer store in Holland so I know all about computer hardware. The strange thing is it runned like a charm before :P My collegues told me it was either my PSU or my memory.
Maybe you guys can share thoughts with me so I can play TRU :P

Oh, here's my specs BTW :P

AMD Athlon XP 3000+ (2.1Ghz, but rated at 3.0Ghz by factory default)
1GB of memory (1 Kingston DDR-400 module, and one of a brand I dunno :P)
Radeon X1650 Pro 512 MB AGP Graphics Card
Trust 500 Watt PSU
Windows XP Professional

Hope you guys can help me out :P
Otherwise I'm planning of buying myself a computer at the store I work with a discount 'cause I'm working there :ton::jmp:

My best guess is you only have 1 gig of ram.
you could buy some more, or you could close as much programs as you can before running TRU demo. :)

Hmmm, but why did it run before if thats the case? Its so strange.....
What I can try is removing one memory module to see if it has something to do with the two brands of modules (one is kingston and one i dunno :P).

Or maybe its my PSU that doesnt have enough power...?

I'm highly skeptical that having only 1GB ram would cause this. And a 500 Watt PSU is enough power for what you have, so I don't think it would be that.

If you're suspicious of the ram I'd certainly use your "connections" to get another 1gb to test with, to rule out compatibility errors.

1. On what drive do you have virtual memory/Swap file? Your drive C is short of free space drastically.

2. What cooling system is present in your PC?

CrisGer

You need at least 3 GB of RAM to run the game well, you maxed it out with the first run thru and need to add it now or get a upgraded system i think.

^ Nonsense.

@ trlestew: Can you post a photo of this BSOD screen? So we to know what type of BSOD exactly is involved.
Also try quitting all VMWare processes before running TRU demo.

Thanks guys, gonna try all of that now ;) I hope it will give me some results.

1. On what drive do you have virtual memory/Swap file? Your drive C is short of free space drastically.

2. What cooling system is present in your PC?

1. I've got my Windows Installation located on E:/
The swap file is 1024-2048 MB.
The C-Drive is a recovery disk.

2. I had a standard AMD cooling system in it, but I accidently broke it :hea:
So I had to buy a new fan at the store I work to place on the heatsink.
This is the one I currently have: Sharkoon System Fan S80
(Retail, Zwart, 3-pins, Low Noise)

I've runned Speedfan and the temparature is around 75-80 degrees celsius.
I dont think its really really harmful? Or is it?

Edit: Posted BSOD in my first post.....

IT IS! VERY high for the CPU. Your BSOD code tells about overheating.

You need to buy and install a decent cooling system for your CPU... if it's not late already. Ensure you have placed thermal paste between CPU and heatsink and all the stuff is firmly mounted!

Is there really no-one to help :(?
And don't bump!

-- Edit --
Another possible reason - badly chosen RAM. What and how many modules do you have?

It doesn't require that much of RAM, even on Vista, I think two gigabytes and one of the high-end 8 series would suffice. ;)
