I was perched on that very seat pictured by the left wheel. I acquired my target using the wheels just in front of the seat and then snapped the brass trigger down twice to fire off the shell. The whole gun rocked back and "dug in" before bouncing back into place. 30 seconds later, I fired the second round. Fort Nelson fires the 25-pounder, the most used field cannon in WW2 (with a range of 7 miles! Read: 7 MILES!!!!!!!) twice daily, at midday GMT and 15:00 GMT.
