Don't you think they've overdone it this time? I mean, I counted down by myself and Lara can remain underwater for about 130 seconds. That's a lot, I don't recall the previous Tomb Raiders provided so much oxygen time underwater. Besides, it makes things easier from a point of view. What do you think?

Jeez, 'Lara can't hold her breath for long enough' 'Lara holds her breath for too long'.

Is anyone around here ever satisfied?!

I think 130 seconds is a bit too long but I'd rather it be that than 20-30 seconds like it was in Legend and Anni. 1 minute would have been good imo.

:vlol:

I'm happy that it's much longer. So often I can become engrossed in the game and poor Lara drowns. At least this way it won't happen so often.

130 seconds? that's only 2 minutes and 10 seconds, that's nothing. :p

At least we'll have time to actually play levels underwater, in Anniversary I found myself drowning.. :(

You've ever thought of the MOTION CAPTURE???
What if they counts the seconds that HEIDI could hold her breath under water.

What if she can hold her breath 130 sec. ???

It's a game! I'm glad it's longer this time gives me more time to explore without going up for a breather.

Considering Lara is pretty much inhumanly skilled anyway, I find 130 seconds far more believeable than the 30 second or so maximum she had in L&A. Although I guess they could have put it down to 2 minutes since that's said to be the "average" (and Lara is doing much more strenuous things despite probably being capable of going far beyond that average)

If Lara is so superhuman and so physically capable then it makes sense that she can hold her breath for a while. :)

Indeed. :tmb: Rather too long than not long enough!
Thanks for that, CD!

4 years ago I was able to do 1min 30s. So no big deal if sportive Lara can do 2min 10...

Well, you do realize that holding your breath and swimming underwater, searching for paths and being attacked by enemies are two completely different things. So don't go compare yourselves with Lara's situation. Oh well, to each its own. I still believe 130 seconds is a bit too much.

It's a relief and perfectly fine. She's Amazonian, she should be able to hold her breath underwater for a couple of minutes.

i think the longest one can hold breath its about 6 minutes... thats already TOOOO much, and needs extreme training and total concentration while performing it...

i find it great she last that long underwater.... was the best that could happen to her...

take that drake... a girl can hold her breath longer than u do:D:D:D.. mua ha ha ha... oh right, you cant wet your hair either:D:D:D

I'm glad that she can stay underwater longer now! It was really annoying in the past two games - you couldn't enjoy the wonderful underwater scenery.

2 minutes is fine for me, and not a huge performance for Lara.

I know one man from Spanish Special Forces (GOE III) that is able to swim around 2min 30-40 s. So if Lara is trained, she should last those 130 s.

It just seems unbeliavable at first because of getting used to L&A, but when you think about it, it actually makes sense. Could've been even longer, I think. But definitely better than before.

I think about 2 minutes is fine, makes the game easier and lets you enjoy the underwater scenery for longer. :)

Guybrush could hold his breath underwater for 10 minutes... :p :D

I'm glad for it. Much better than what we got with Legend. I wouldn't have minded her actually having a small air tank to use to make it more believable, but at the end of the day, I love underwater exploration, and prefer the extended breathing to the short breath holding we got in Legend and TRA.

Of course NOT, we are FANS !!!

Fans are a constant whining and beatching organisms, who are NEVER satisfied by ANYTHING . Why should someone make the game with us in mind ?

Okay, it IS POSSIBLE. There are people out there who can hold there breath for a very very long time. it's not like Lara is doing the impossible.
