I played the demo with the Flymod and I came across this:

I see some similarities between these two guys here:

Could Thor be one of the three rulers of Atlantnis? This may explain why Qualopec was alive in Anniversary and Tihocan missing. What do you think?

I dont think Qualopec was actually Alive, i think he was Dead, but his Machine just rose up instead of him and both got Crushed in the Rumbling Building with Rocks falling on them.
I think Tahocan is the one that is Alive and wasent in his Coffin, so he does look like Thor.

Do you mean he is the one on the left or right? The helmut seems more like the taller guy, but the armour is like the one on the right.

Tihocan is definitely Thor imo. The facial similarities are a pretty big giveaway :D

I think the title is a little bit of a spoiler itself... I mean, some may still haven't seen the trailers and read what the game's about... so the name of Thor may be a spoiler... but I guess it's too late now...
To the subject: It would be amazing if there was such a link between Atlantis and Thor! I found it very strange that the coffin of Tihocan in TRA was empty and it hasn't been explained during the game. So I hope someday this mystery will be solved, maybe even in TRU (9 days to go :cln: )

Hrm, I guess that's right. But I still don't think that it was just a machine. I think it was Qualopec rising from the dead and I wonder why he didn't follow Lara after that. When I was playing the game the first time I was freakin' scared 'cause I thought, he would follow me through the crumbling hole. But now... I'm just wondering :p

I believe it, and I also believe that Underworld is gonna answer our questions, about anniversary and legend.
it is maybe a bit far fatched but 3 letters of thor are already in his name (tihocan/ thor)
Pretty soon we'll be able to find out. I don't think Thor is one of the Atlantean rulers, he was too busy being worshipped by the Norsemen. :)

Thor had a son Magni and with Sif he had his daughter Thrud. There is nothing in the myths that states the identity of the mother of his son Modi.
Maybe Thor's there father, Tihocan+Natla.

I don't think there has been a time-line associated with the Atlantean civilization. But I really don't know. We'll find out when the game is released! :yah:

I started pondering last night that if Tihocan at another point in history was Thor, then his 'Hammer' may have played a part in Natla's initial downfall after her siege of the Great Pyramid.
Thor = Tihocan seems a bit too obvious though I reckon, I'm hoping there's a different explanation of Tihocan's whereabouts.

That would be an incredible twist in the storyline. I really hope it's true, that Thor is actually Tihocan. And perhaps he's still alive. How about a Lara-Amanda-Tihocan-Natla face-to-face in the final level? Nah, that's asking too much. :p

Tihocan is Thor. Those kind of similarities are not to be taken lightly and the fact that Natla is back, completely links it all together. All three of them are immortal, they cannot die. It even says that when the ruin of Atlantis had occured, Qualopec and Tihocan took different groups of people to differnet parts of the world. Qualopec to Peru and Tihocan to Greece, and they were to spend the rest of eternity guarding their piece of the Scion.
This game is all about linking together the past and it makes perfect sense. Altantis must be 'Avalon'. Think of it as the way they would view it inside the game, its all connected and various cultures worshiped different gods but they were all the same.
