2D Rope? Is it back?

This might be a stupid question but is the 2D rope back?
It was in Legend and Ann, I found it abit lazy from CD.

It's just for optimization. Bending and deforming a 3D rope would be way more performance-draining than it's worth ;)

Yeah, but the grapple rope is 3D, instead of those ropes and vines in Legend that were 2D.

^ Well, I can't judge yet coz I still didn't get TRU, and I can't really know until I play the PS2 and PS3 versions to compare the ropes :D
