View Full Version : nosgoth TRuniverse crossover
some people want a whole new and fresh start. i want a TRAOD remake/visoned and continuation. and since we cant get along with it. i thought lets make a game with all tomb raiders elements that feels like new and fresh, introduce new characters, and multiplayer, yet not so openly new or agresive to those who are really conservative, and came to my old idea of a nosgoth crossover... why not?...
sets after TRU and before TRAOD remake.
lara is exploring some ruins in (...) and discovers another dias (or another portal, doesnt rly matter) and since she still has a excalibur with her decides to test what other locations besides helheim is she able to reach through it. now that helheim is destroyed, it shouldnt be that dangerous. so.. executing some wall paintings codes, she opens the portal and get swallow into nosgoth. right between a great fight between vampires and humans. lara should first fight the vampires and is deceived by someone whos following moebious steps. fighting kain and eventually freing raziel. the story should be as LoK full of twists, and lara would end up fighting along some vampires and the blue skinned winged race through many of nosgoth portals, and even jumping back in time. fighting with swords, and using thors belt and gauntlets to move heavy objects.
the game would be really different in an over view. but wouldnt be such a drama, since lara would have the oportunity to raid some citadels, castles, fortres, catacombs, medieval towns, forrests, frozen lakes, caves etc etc etc... just like always
for eidos and crystals it shouldnt be another big drama, since there hasnt been a LoK game in long time. this could help reboot nosgoth storyline. and they could sell afterwards a LoK game, that would complement this TR one. like what ever happened, while lara was doing something, in the other side of the world.
...perhaps when lara jumped into nosgoth kain got kicked out into earth, and the Blood Omen game could be in big city trying to get back. and so...

I amin complete agreement with you,the LoK series is amazing and for Lara Croft to grace Nosgoth would be a dream come true.
CD wouldn't have to cater to 'real world' ruins or temples and they could go overboard with the fantasy settings. Like Lara diving into the great abyss and grappling at the last minute to an abyss wall :O
So yeah, this is a great idea. Lara should definately star in a crossover game, and this idea is a great one.

I like your locations, but no AOD continuation and a stronger idea. You've got something going there though. :tmb:
wow... great to see someone support it. the game would be brutally dark, filled with nice eons old structures and lots of monsters, vampires, zombies, mages, sorcerers, demons, ghosts, and many other stuffs that are great from the LoK serie.
they would be kind of even.
Raziel: wraith sword, telekinesis, hovering/floating instead of falling from higher grounds plus netherworld to get to higher places
Kain: reaver, telekinesis, transforms into myst, flies as bats.
Lara: excalibur, guns, graple gun, granades.
they are even.. the three of them has an equivalent power, so it wouldnt be a problem to reach point A or F.

My initial thoughts on this were kind of "on the fence", but I think if executed properly, i.e. great story line it could actualy be a really good game, would certainly provide some interesting areas and CD could let their imagination go lose! After all they created Nosgoth! There must plenty of unseen areas from the LOK games. Massive cathederals, hidderen temples, and of course lots of unexplored, myths, legends and artifacts waiting to be found :tmb:
Sounds like a really good idea, i hope CD looks into this. i missed the LOK seris, but bringing it back mixed with tomb raider just says "GREAT!"
we could get really extreme situations, no fans nor lara have experienced before... like impaling monsters, burning them alive, or being just cruel to some zombies...
the game could be well thought to be even developed as a 2 cd game... one version with lara exploring some tombs, and another version with raziel and kain, traveling to the same places...
we could even see lara die, since it wouldnt be a problem to bring her back from the spectral realm...
I dont think classifying it as a Tomb Raider or Legacy of Kain game would be good, but maybe a game like, Eidos Clash? or something that symboliesess TR and LOK. If this never happens, experienced TRLE users can attempt to make it, although it seems almost impossible for most parts with that stubborn engine :(
Those pictures look great but personally I don't like crossovers too much.
*yes, I realize I'm a huge hypocrit since I'm making on in TRLE but I still think Tomb Raider should remain on its own.*

While exploring some new diases portals outside some scottish castle in hr search for arthurs camelot, lara gets swallon into an alternative dimention and caught in an eternal war between humans, hyldens, vampires and dimentional demons, lara must choose a path and a side, not nesesarily the human one, and try to polute the less with her pressence and the actions the timeline. or she would developed part of a superior mechanism of the wheels of fate. (or was she always part of it?)
Legacy of Kain: Pollution of the Dimentions
while kain thought rarziel was almost gone for good. it happens that the humans were creating a trap of some sort, that would combine dimentions and bring to nosgoth earths alternative moebius or something like that. at the end, some evil doers would rise, and kain will have to stop searching for the freedom of his fate, at least as long as lara is among them. first enemy then allied, they must combine forces to fight major threats. eventually discovering even more darker secrets. secrets that are not even quite acknowledge in laras heritage.

but it cold be a crossover jus to flesh up again the serie, and give the fans a taste of what could be coming next in the final chapter from LoK...
i wouldnt like the serie to finish,.. i would rather have lots more of nosgoth coming on,.. maybe another trilogy? or is it a penthalogy??

Technically it was finished, if you understood the end of Defiance. Everything comes full circle, so it practically plays itself out.
SPOILERS
And also Raziel wouldn't be a playable character if the crossover takes place after Defiance, with him being merged with the Soul Reaver and not having a physical body :p
thats the magic of nosgoth... how many time has kain travel back in time and has not been able to stop those burglars from killing him?... why not use some dimention or some force to free raziel at least for the crossover?... or maybe in another time...
besides it wasnt really clear whether raziel was meant to be inside the sword completely,... he used his free choice to help kain, but.. was it that what kain wanted?, how sure can we be hes not going to rescue raziel from the sword?
anyway... im sure we will get much more form him... he is such a great character...
