Are there anyone else doing self-defence things? Like karate, tae kwon doo etc. I do karate and I got yellow belt today. :D

I used to do Aikido. Actually, by "used to" I mean that I tried it out for two days then gave it up. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif

Hi Everyone,

I always wanted to do Aikido - I liked what I heard about the philosophy!

Never got around to it - somehow I never seemed be able to get out of the pub!

'Self-defense' does hiding count?

If there's a sofa involved! :D

I quit Aikido for 2 reasons: I just couldn't get into it, and there were too many people way younger than me. There were only two other teenagers. :( If I could get a decent class, one that used the sword things, I would probably enjoy it more.

I did judo for 2 years, got the orange belt... quit because we moved abroad for a year. When I came back I had forgotten everything and decided not to continue

Black-belt karate...

I was going to do Aikido, but instead chose Jujitsu and Kenjutsu, then quit last year as soon as I recieved my first degree (Shodan). Aikido's body techniques is derived from Jujitsu and Ken.

Also, I didnt take Aikido because everyone else was taking it, and I wanted to do something different.... :D

Hi Trelic,

Take a camouflage course and you can hide like me!

I used to do Karate, but that was quite a few years ago. I've been contemplating returning to it, but due to other priorities, I'm not sure... btw, congratulations on the yellow belt http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

I always carry pepper spray with me when I am going out alone or late at night, I am really tiny so anyone could pretty much kick my ass!

~Kasia http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/cutie.gif That's why it is good to know some self-defense moves. Size doesn't matter, it's all in how well you can out think and out move someone.

I will just aim for where it hurts the most, right between the legs, my nails are pretty long so I can scratch the bejebbies out of someone, I just hope that I am lucky enough to never have to expereince any of that!
