Thanks for posting. It's like a completely diff game in some places! The Lara model looks worse (technology wise) than in Anniversary though which makes no sense as Anni wasn't next gen either.

I'm quite disappointed that the Wii Croft Manor's version is longer than the next gen one... In the Next Gen one, we directly end in the church thing, but I would have prefered to have something similar (and as long) as the Wii one...

And they did used one FMV, the last cutscene of Croft Manor. :)

The Wii version obviously kept some idea that didn't make it to the final version of the Next Gen :

- Lara has her PDA on her belt (and we can see in some beta footage of TRU that she was supposed to have it in the next gen version too)
- I heard that the Wii version has a part that has been cut out in the next gen vers. : The begining of Arctic Sea. They start on ice and have to find the point to dive I think, but they removed it in the NG version.

It's good for the Wii, since it's not a simple port, they have many more things. So what each version has its advantage...

Not quite so many wrinkles! Also, on that cutscene at the end with the speech saying "I need the hammer to kill a God...", the Lara model doesn't look as shoddy as it does in the rest of them.

It's not a port. The Wii and PS2 versions were built separately by a different company from the same concepts that Crystal used for the 360/PC/PS3 version.

The wii version is the beta version of the NG game, i can say this because it has the old cutscene we've seen in the trailer and ohter things :(

I like how the levels are different. The Remnants portion of Thailand is much different once you come to the first tiger area :jmp:

I'm kinda disappointed that longer sections like the bike ride up to Jan Mayen was cut out of the PS3 and 360 :( it looks fun (those stupid Wii exclusives :rolleyes: :p)

I may just end up buying the PS2 version in January then as well... it should be a lot cheaper

My god the Wii version looks terrible. :S

I was expecting a downgrade in terms of visuals but they've gone down way past what the Wii is capable of. Lara looks awful. Her face in Annersary was brilliant whereas Underworld Lara looks like a beta model that was forgotten about.

The animations and overall experience seems more glitchy than the other versions also.

Might still pick this or the PS2 version up when they're cheap to play through as they look like a completely different game. The use of cutscenes from the other versions seems cheap also though I guess it's okay to have at least some eye candy in there though the Dopple scene really could have done with that as the Wii Version lacks the intensity of that scene.

I watched "Southern Mexico - Part 4" of the WII-Walkthrough. And if the Walkthrough shows everything the "The Rooms of Challenges" are missing. Perhaps other parts are shorter too?

Thanks for making this walkthrough :DThe Wii version is so different i didnt expect that...Some of the levels have extras added like that waterwheel part in Croft Manor...and the Bike ride In Jan Mayen at the start then again other parts are very short and linear and the graphics are awful compared to TRA they could of at least made a better effort :(The only thing that lacks is enemies theres hardly any...and the puzzles are all easier the croft manor angel puzzle and bike ride to Xibalba were not timed. Also some cutscenes are slightly diiferent i notice and it seems to suffer from TRA's long boring clean halls :p I like how they put the other room types in this version and they are huge :O I wonder if the PS2 version will be like this then..or the same as he next gen ones just with these graphics?

Watching the first few manor videos I'm pleasantly surprised; despite the incessant flyby cutscenes right out of Legend and ridiculous checkpoint prompts there's the new locations and it also seems to have a certain desolate moodiness I didn't really get from the PC version (probably because there aren't spiders jumping on you every five steps).

I'll probably end up changing my mind after seeing more videos though :) .

Saw Jan Mayen, the start is cool but then the tower is epic fail; Valhalla took such effort to open :rolleyes: . The random homing minigun on the bike is pretty funny though :) .

I am still really liking the lack of enemies though, it makes me realise how much the constant attacks disrupt the atmosphere in the "next-gen" versions.

Yes I do have flash, but to be sure I reloaded again. When I try to play a vidio it just stays a black screen.

Wow, Mexico is really different; the temple parts are much more linear, and the overall structure is less well thought out (the calendar puzzle things don't interlink into the courtyard), however, there are a couple of things I really like about it, like the cliffs making the invisible walls far more natural and defined (although the video makes it obvious they are still an issue elsewhere).

Xibalba was also a big surprise; while it doesn't really follow the "houses" concept and is more linear rather than a hub it also avoids the "poor man's St Francis Folly" feeling and the areas that do seem like trials are much larger and more layered than the small rooms in the next-gen version, and it's probably much longer overall, so I think I prefer it based on the video.

Thailand is kind of fail, with most of the level missing, on the other hand, the temple entrance felt cooler and more "3D" with better usage of the space available (although not much longer). It also felt more flamboyant and colourful than the slightly muted feel of the next-gen versions.

Thankfully the lack of combat stays the same; which I still really like (actually the Thrall jumping out in Xibalba almost made me jump).

With all the time to work on it it would be funny if the PS2 version turned out to be the definitive version of the game content-wise.

We don't know. No media or really any sort of information has been released about the PS2 version yet. I'm certain it will not have the Wii archaeologist's kit with the blowtorch, air gun, pliers, etc. since those are meant to be little gimmicks capitalizing on the Wiimote. Other than that, I would guess it would have the same levels and design as the Wii version but hopefully they'll at least get the camera/controls to work more smoothly since they are taking an extra month or two on the game.

There are two FMV's in the Wii version which are captured from the 360/PC/PS3 version (the cutscene at the end of Croft Manor and the cutscene at the very end of the game) :)

It does have some extra areas that aren't in the 360/PC/PS3 version, but it's also missing areas too. Overall, the level design is simplified in the Wii version.

Some tips that I have found in the Artic Sea Part 2.

When using Thor's hammer it is not neceesary to bang it on the floor. If you select the hammer and press Z and point the target reticule onto the red reticule of the monster and fire the B button, it will destoy the monster. Secondly, after getting treasure 1 and climbing the pole and leaping backwards onto the raised platform, turn to the right and a grapple loop is available. Swing up to the ledge, climb up to the top and a second treasure is available. Return to the platform and carry on as per the video.
