I voted "I don't care while she keeps those 2 beautiful things...her guns,obviously." I've been playing since TR1, so obviously I have nothing but love and adoration for the braid. But the pony tail isn't bad either. Here's another TR9 idea.

Have Lara fully customizable. Of course, it would still have to be Lara tomb raiding, so a basic wire frame would be set. But leave it up to us rather we want a braid/pony tail, classic outfit/Legend outfit/Underworld outfit, classic red circular sun glasses/Bono styled sunglasses.

I know some people might cringe at having a barbie type digital paperdoll, but it seems there's always going to be preferences to certain aspects of Lara, why not get them all?

It depends. I prefer the braid, as it adds to the nostalgia factor. I wouldn't mind the braid while raiding tombs/ruins and the pony tail in urban environments, assuming there are any.

Also the braid or a Franch plait for some reason to me feels more like what a British female adventurer would have.:) A braid or a French plait is so, so much more elegant then a girly floppy ponytail that sticks together.:D

The braid is also much more intimidating and fierce! A ponytail just does not do Lara justice. Its her trademark hair! Its so whiplike, lady-like, and adventurous. :tmb: A ponytail just seems more sloppy, uncreative, and more normal.

A braid matches Lara's personality more than a ponytail a tween girl can pull off. Its a sign of maturity and presence.

I would like to see outfit customization in the next tomb raider, so a choice of about 5 would be good for me. We should be able to make this OUR tomb raider in every way. What better way than giving us the power to make her the Lara we want? Saints row has customization, so you can't compare outfit choice to barbie games. I pray that the Lara that the world loved in the first place makes a return. I have no idea why, but the ponytail makes me feel like Lara is Americanised where as the braid feels more British, maybe it's a Core & CD thing.:) Lara could easly keep her classic look & still look contempory.:)

The best thing CD could do is give the player a choice at the begining of their TR games, a choice between playing Classic Croft or Legend Croft. That would make us all happy!:D

Ponytail is still rocking. Also for people that complaint that her hair is too short when it's a ponytail look it goes down to her mid back. In the first 3 classics and AOD her braid went mid back but looked longer cause she had a smaller body frame for the classics. So its the same length just not as long as 4-5.

Not in a Sims way, more of a barbie way (Basic features stay). You choose the hair, braid/pony/bun? whatever. And like UW, choose the outfit you think fits best with the level. Its a minute change, and that way the argument for hair will end.

UW HAD to go with the ponytail, since Legend had it. TR9 is something different, so maybe CD/Eidos will introduce another hairstyle too.
