Replay: Stuck on T-Rex

I've completed the game & am now trying to go through it a second time. For some reason, I am completely stuck on the t-rex! I can't complete the adrenaline dodge, where the targets meet -- Lara rolls away in slo-mo, but the t-rex knocks into her before the targets even appear. I've tried starting the dodge earlier, later, more in front of the t-rex, more to the side -- nothing works. I went back in my old save, just to reassure myself that I knew HOW to complete the adrenaline dodge, and I could complete it no problem. It wasn't an issue during my first run-through of the game, either.

Has this happened for anyone else? Any tips?

that happened to me when i fought the centaurs. really frustrating. if you are playing the pc version though i think i know what you are doing wrong.(other consoles are the same though i think) the dodge you might just be doing fine but the thing is that you have to connect the grey spots to form one red. so you just gotta have to keep aiming and not shoot. only shoot when the spots are connected.
the centaurs kept knocking me down before i could do anything and what i did was just to concentrate and calm down. i did everything systematically.

first, set your combat mode to advance toggle. it helps.

keep your distance. you need to have some room. i think that makes the chances smaller to be knocked down.
when the rage bar goes to full STOP shooting and wait.
wait...
the slow motion comes...dodge!
wait!!!
the spots are comming together... wait...and CONNECTED RED!
shoot now.

i hope this is helpful :/ it's all about timing with that dodging thing. or else you get knocked off before the spots get together to form the red one. oh! and also be careful to hear the clicking sound once the red aim is created. it helps.

Funny thing was that the first time that I battled the T-Rex, I was able to beat him using only the pistols, but no AD. I went through a lot of medipacks and just kept blasting away until he secombed to his death.

I sort of did the same thing...Except I did the AD thing but I didn't know about the spikes trick. I just kept jumping around, shooting, and using the AD trick and I just kept shooting. It took like forever :p I enjoyed it all though...The T-Rex is my favorite battle so far and the look on Lara's face when she first sees the T-Rex in the cutscene is priceless!! She's like Holy $%&*!! LOL :vlol:

After seeing that you could use the spikes, I was like...Well, that's too easy!! :D

As far as your problem, yeah, it happened to me to on the Centaurs...Man, that was the hardest thing for me to do...The AD trick...They kept beating on me!! I finally did it and got through it though :D I might have to try and reload the level the next time I go through it if I find myself in the same situation again...

Then, are you sure you are targetting the enemy? :confused:
To be certain, choose advanced toggle for the combat thingy.

The spikes are pretty easy but I still think you need to do the AD thing in front of them but all you do after you get the T-Rex raged and have him charge at you is stand in front of one of the spike things and use the AD to jump out of the way and shoot the T-Rex and he slides into the spikes taking off a lot of his health. :D It will destroy those spikes but you have 3 more left so you just repeat the same tactic ;)
