Around this time, but one year ago - on the last days of November / first days of December 2007 - we got the first sights of what would be the next Tomb Raider game: A registration (http://tarr.uspto.gov/servlet/tarr?regser=serial&entry=77335373) made by Eidos Interactive of the trademark "Tomb Raider Underworld", made on November 2007.

On that time, the story was rumoured to be based only on the Mayan calendar.

The storyline is rumored to be based around the Mayan Calendar (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maya_calendar). During five nameless and dangerous days at the end of the calendar called Wayeb’ (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maya_calendar#Wayeb.27), portals between the mortal realm and the Underworld dissolve, allowing ill-intending deities to causing disaster and mayhem.

The very first images of the game didn't appeared until around 13th December, 2007 on the January 2008 issue of the Play magazine.
But the game itself wasn't actually officialy announced until January 2008 by SCi.

...Well, Anniversary was released in June and we heard of Underworld in December...

Like the Mayans said, time is but a frequency compressing. It's no coincidence that the years seem to be melting away faster and faster. More events are occuring in less time now than they did years ago. Too bad the game never even touched on all of that magnificent wonder. Back then, I thought it would.

Yeah, did the clouds do that in the finished game? I had a bug where the rain stopped after I died and I didn't realize it was a bug until later (I thought the rain stopped as part of the dynamic weather system :o) so I'm wondering how it looks normally.

I can't really remember the first time I found out about TRU, but I DEFINATELY remember being one of the first to post on the revealing thread of Lara's wetsuit and the Med :D
